As you all know I grew up on a farm. My little bro now farms with the Pops therefore he lives out in the country which is about 7 miles out of town. He also has an office in town to use for his business Northern Tractor & Implement where he sells all kinds of fancy GPS stuff for farmers which I don’t even begin to say I understand.
Often nights he is in town so we get to see him in the evenings. He comes over, plays with Miss K, I feed him then he leaves. I love it because I get to see him, he loves it because he gets fed and to see Miss K. I won’t even begin to act like I’m the factoring decision in his visiting us. Miss K clearly takes rank over the sister!
We’ve been having an argument lately. He thinks he needs to give me some money for groceries. This results in me rolling my eyes and scoffing. Nice gesture don’t get me wrong, but I obviously love to feed people and cook so I don’t see this as a pain and I don’t want his money. Finally one night during this frequent argument he speaks ups and says, “Julie just take the money. McDonald’s doesn’t argue when I pay for my meal and I don’t even get it served with a smile. Just take the money.” Point clearly taken. I’ll just buy us all pizza when I don’t feel like cooking some night!
P.S. I just got a text from him….Pizza tonight?
This yummy pie comes for my Aunt Cheryl. I had to beg for the recipe because I LOVE this apple pie. Whenever she makes pie for a holiday I cross my fingers she brings this one!
Make sure you don’t miss any of the fun stuff Julie’s Eats & Treats is up too!
