Weight Watchers Simple Start Plan is the way to get healthy this year!

Weight Watchers Simple Start Plan is the way to get healthy this year!*I was given a free one month subscription to Weight Watchers to try their new Simple Start plan and write about my experience.Though I was compensated for my time and commitment, all views, positive and negative, are my own

Wow. Well I just signed up for my month of Weight Watchers Simple Start Plan and started entering the food I usually eat. That was an eye opener! No wonder why I struggle to lose weight.

Weight Watchers Simple Start Plan is the way to get healthy this year!

So here’s the deal. I can’t lose the last few pounds left of baby weight from Miss K. Sure I’m not obese, I work out 5 days a week and am fairly fit, but it just hangs on. I need something to keep me accountable so here is my goal. 10 lbs. I can do it. Who’s going to do it with me?

When this opportunity came along I knew it was waiting for me. I keep saying I’m going to lose it but I’ll lose some of it, get excited and gain it right back so here we go peeps!!!

I know I can do it because I have before. Weight is something I’ve struggled with since elementary school. When I as a junior in high school I lost a significant amount of weight and have been able to keep it off for the most part. Sometimes I start gaining and I have to reign it in. I’m reigning it in right now. I want to be fit, healthy and active for my family. I want to have the energy to go ride bike, walk, play and enjoy life! That is my ultimate goal.

Weight Watchers Simple Start Plan is the way to get healthy this year!

I’m really looking forward to getting down to business with the Weight Watchers Simple Start plan and getting this baby weight OFF. I was impressed with how easy it was to sign up and get started. It took all of ten minutes and I was on my way. I’m currently checking out all the yummy recipes online that I can pick from. I really enjoy the fact it’s on my own time and I can do it how I want too! I’m a planner so it’s great to be able to plan meals ahead and know how many points I have to work with.

Who’s ready to get started with Weight Watchers Simple Start plan and become a healthier YOU!

I’m with you. I joined, too, this month and should be going to my first meeting tomorrow evening, weather permitting.
Good luck to all of us at WW!!

    • Julie Evink

      Good luck Sharon! Rock it!

I bought into QuickStart and immediately noticed they tell you to use cooking spray, foods that contain Aspartame, fat free foods that no doubt have substitutes such as sweeteners, other artificial ingredients and salt to make them taste better. Sorry, but I’m more concerned about the direction to eat these unhealthy, Big Brand “food” items then I am about saving some fat or calories. Aren’t you people afraid of Cancer causing additives?? Not for me. A holistic diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. Unfortunately I was looking in the wrong place on Weight Watchers.

Thank you for pointing this out. I, too, exclude these types of foods (toxins) in my diet. While I’m not perfect, there are much healthier options out there. Health and happiness to you!

Hi, I joined up this year, and love it, our team leader tells us NOT to use those things, gives us alternatives that still fit into the scheme. My house hold have never been one for eating foods with stuff like that in, and we still don’t…
It’s easy to avoid and i’m sure the leader of the group will help if you talk to them :)

I agree with you. But I still am able to use the plan. I use stevia as my sweetener (only if needed). I don’t use cooking sprays at all, a teaspoon of healthy olive oil is usually all I need if using a frying pan. And I always avoid prepackaged foods with artificial ingredients. WW is still do able.

Looks so easy! I can’t believe how good that cereal actually looks to me (and I don’t do breakfast!). Good luck!

Okay…I signed up too. I am doing the online version. Will download the app for my phone too. I like that it’s a point tracker and not a calorie counter type of deal. Good luck to all of us that join!!

    • Julie Evink

Rock it Mary! We can do this!

  • Joelen

Good luck – I’m sure you’ll do great!

    i was shocked when I first added up my points – but here’s to losing those last 10 pounds { I wish I could blame mine on baby weight}

    • Julie Evink

      Right?! Those points are killer!

I signed up! Am loving every aspect but the no-fat dairy part! Next I need to get shopping for all the great ingredients to make the dishes!

    • Julie Evink

That is hard, and yes the key is to shop and plan your meals out!

  • Danielle

I started this week and so far so good! I think the best part is that I’m not having to worry about every single point calculation. It’s getting easier every day!

    • Julie Evink

It totally works, but the trick to plan, plan and plan!

  • Amber Edwards

I am seriously loving this app! So many delicious food choices. And it’s real food! not a box mix or anything like that. Yum!

  • Mel {MamaBuzz}

You got this, Julie! I really do like the meals we’ve had so far. They’ve been pretty filling too.

  • Pat Cohen

    Julie,
I’m totally confused. I came across your website after signing up for WW Simple Start Plan. But, when I went to your Recipes…..whew…..they don’t go along with you’re WW introduction in your latest blog. Was this a before???? WW time?

    • Julie Evink

I never actually calculated the recipes for WW I’m sorry. I was just using the plan for a while on it! I highly recommend the blog Skinny Taste of WW points!

Can anyone tell me if the Tinkyada brown rice pasta is a free food on Simple Start and beyond? It is made from Brown Rice and my leader said it was free, but I am worried. It really is a good pasta that is the closest I have found to real pasta so I am wondering if it is too good to be true Anyone know?
