Garden Vegetable Spread ~ Fresh, yummy vegetable spread full of green peppers, celery, carrots, radishes and onion! Pair it with homemade beer bread and you are ready for a party!
One of my coworkers was at a conference and she was telling someone about this event. They looked at her like she was growing horns…you mean all the women in your office get along enough to hang out AFTER work? They then went on to tell her that they need to send some of their employees home because they fight? What on earth? Seriously people. Grow up! I was in shock when I heard this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I agree with everything that happens at work, but I like to think I’m a professional and well you just let things slide right?
My question to you is….what’s your work atmosphere like? I always roll with the motto that life is what you make out of it. Sure, sometimes I lose focus on this and things get to me but at the end of the day do these things really matter? I still have my family, friends and love for God. Really that’s what it’s about.

On this said night out on the lake we each brought a appetizer to share. I picked this Garden Vegetable Spread. I saw this recipe in a cookbook from my hometown and I knew I wanted to try it but I knew it was going to have to be an event because well the hubs just wouldn’t eat it and I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Actually I could. It was sinfully delicious. I paired it with this Homemade Beer Bread and it was devoured quickly! If you are looking for alternative to the typical “Game Day” food for this upcoming football season this is calling your name!

Garden Vegetable Spread
- 1 (8 oz) package fat free cream cheese
- 1/2 c. green pepper, finely chopped
- 2 celery ribs, finely chopped
- 2 med carrots, finely chopped
- 3 radishes, finely chopped
- 1 tsp onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp dill weed
- Trim all vegetables, Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium sized bowl until well blended.
- I processed everything in a food processor at the end to get the spread chopped and cream cheese well blended!
