I adore Blondies. They are soft and chewy. Perfect. Like I could sit down with an entire pan and a fork and devour the entire thing. Don’t worry I practiced a little self restraint. I only ate a row at a time!
When I got this month’s assignment for the Lady Behind the Curtain’s dessert challenge and it was pretzels and caramel I knew exactly when I was going to do with them. I’d had this in the back of my head for a while but never got around to doing anything about it. Life happens peeps.
I took my Blondie recipe and threw pretzels and caramel in plus some chocolate chips and life was good. Pure perfection. Sweet and Salty, Chewy yet Crunchy. Can you ask for anything more?

Sweet & Salty Blondies
- 1 C. Butter, Softened
- 3 C. Brown Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 3 C. Flour
- 2 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 C. Chocolate Chips
- 1 C. Caramel Bits
- 1 C. Pretzels, chopped
- Cream together butter and brown sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat until well mixed.
- Add flour, vanilla, baking powder, salt and mix well.
- Mix in chocolate chips, caramel bits and pretzels.
- Pour into a greased 10x15 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Take out when edges are starting to brown. The middle will set up as it cools
