Verde Chicken Tortilla Casserole ~ Easy, hearty casserole stuffed full of chicken, tortillas, green chiles, and cheese!
I can officially say fall is here I think. September is here and the nights are crisp. The smell of fall is in the air also. I just love this time of year. What’s better than cuddling up in jeans and a sweatshirt on crisp evenings in front of a bon fire? Nothing. Although I dread that thing called winter that is sure to follow my beloved fall in it’s footsteps.
One thing I start craving this year is hearty, warming casseroles. Those ones that fill your belly up and make your body warm. This Verde Chicken Tortilla Casserole is nothing but that. It’s so super easy and family friendly that it’s sure to please everyone around the table.
This casserole comes together fast and easy, which is a necessity in my life. It starts with a Kraft Recipe Maker and you just had a few ingredients and you are ready to go! Pop that baby in the oven and 30 minutes later you can be sitting around the table with your family catching up on each others days! What’s not to love about that?

Verde Chicken Tortilla Casserole #kraftrecipemakers
- 1 (18.2 oz) Box Verde Chicken Enchilada Kraft Recipe Maker
- 1.5 lb chicken breasts
- 1 c. Greek yogurt
- 1 (4.5 oz) can chopped green chiles
- 2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 8 flour tortillas, torn into pieces
- Cut chicken breasts into pieces. In a large skillet cook chicken in the tomatilla finishing sauce over medium heat until cooked through.
- In a large bowl combine Greek yogurt, chopped green chiles, 1 c. cheddar cheese, creamy ranchero filling sauce and tortillas. Add chicken mixture and combine.
- Place chicken mixture in a 9x13 in. baking pan. Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
