Ingredients for Apple Brickle Dip
- Softened cream cheese – It’s super important to let the cream cheese soften so that it is really easy to mix it up with the other ingredients.
- Brown sugar – Make a rich and sweet caramel-like flavor with some brown sugar. It adds the perfect amount of deep flavor!
- White sugar – Using both granulated white sugar and brown sugar is the best way to give this apple dip the best level of sweetness.
- Vanilla extract – Add extra flavor into this dip with some pure vanilla extract.
- Toffee baking chips – You can use some English toffee bite or chocolate toffee chips in this recipe. Whichever kind you want!
- Granny Smith apples – I personally prefer using Granny Smith apples to dip in this dish because they’re tart and pair perfectly with the sweet dip. However, you can use any other type of fresh apples you want. Honeycrisp and fiji are tasty too!

How to Soften Cream Cheese
For this 5-ingredient apple brickle dip recipe, you’ll want to use softened cream cheese because it’s a lot easier to mix and you won’t end up with lumps.
It will take a block of cream cheese about 30 to 45 minutes to soften at room temperature. Just pull it out of the fridge and leave it on the counter!
If you’re short on time, or forget to pull it out early, cut the block of cream cheese into small cubes and leave it out. It should soften in about 15 to 20 minutes. It’s a little quicker!
How to Make Apple Brickle Dip
Combine all of the ingredients for the dip in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined and then stir in the toffee chips.
Slice up your favorite type of apples and serve with the dip immediately!
What can I use if I can’t find toffee baking chips?
Toffee chips are usually sold in the baking aisle near the chocolate chips and other baking chips. If you can’t find them you can use Heath bars instead! Just break the candy bars up into small pieces – you can do this in a food processor or place them in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
The heath bars are basically chocolate covered toffee bars – so, your dip will have a chocolate twist. Not a bad thing in my opinion!
Can I make I make this dip ahead of time?
Yes, you can! Make it and then keep it in the refrigerator. I recommend letting it sit out at room temperature for 15 minutes before you serve it – that way it will soften and be dippable!
How long does leftover apple brickle dip last?
Store leftover apple brick fruit dip in an airtight container and it will keep up to five days in the refrigerator.
I don’t recommend freezing it because the texture just won’t be the same after it’s thawed.
What to serve with apple brickle fruit dip
Besides apples, you can serve it with pretty much any fruit you like that’s good for dipping. I love it with pineapple and strawberries. Who’s to say you can’t dip your fruit salad in it?! You can also serve it with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, and shortbread cookies.
Dip pretzels in it for a sweet and salty treat! It’s also a great addition to charcuterie boards.
Pro Tips for the best Apple Brickle Dip
- If you’re having trouble mixing up the softened cream cheese, you can use a hand mixer or stand mixer.
- Make sure your toffee chunks are really small, otherwise it will make them pretty difficult to eat on an apple slice.
- Don’t slice your apple until just before serving! If you slice too early it will turn brown.
This apple brickle dip never lasts long when I make it – you might want to double the batch! I hope you love it as much as my family does.

About your colds…try Vitamin D. I’ve been taking it daily for several months and everyone in my house has some type of virus, but I don’t! Vitamin D is good for calcium absorbtion and boosting the immune system. Maybe it wil work for you!
