Plus, there’s no preservatives in their egg noodles. They are only made with three ingredients: flour, water & eggs!
This makes them known as the “Mighty Forkin’ Noodle” because you’ll need a fork to eat them, they are so thick and hearty. So goodbye to thin, floppy noodles!

Where did Haluski originate from?
Haluski is a noodles and cabbage dish. It is of Polish and Slovakian origin, but Hungarians and Ukrainians claim they are responsible for it. No matter where it came from it’s delicious!
Can Haluski be frozen?
Yes! It can be kept in an air tight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. When reheating we recommend covering so the noodles do not dry out.
Tips and Tricks
- Don’t overcook the egg noodles as they will be reheated at the end of the recipe.
- Make sure your bacon is extra crisp as it holds up better in the recipe.
- Slice your cabbage thin so it cooks faster.
- If you want a hearty meal add thinly sliced pieces of kielbasa sausage when you add the onions.

I love Haluski. A Pittsburghese recipe, most likely of Slovak origin. In Slovakia Haluski is a small potatoe dumpling, served either with a soft sheep’s cheese or sauteed sauerkraut. I didn’t know Frozen egg noodles existed. , I’ll have to try them. I usually use egg noodle bow ties acquired at my local Polish deli. Gypsy ham, or kielbasa Is a good substitute for bacon. I usually make mine with a pinch of sweet or hot paprika.
