Ranch Ground Chicken Burger is a juicy, delicious chicken burger recipe made of ground chicken and flavored with ranch! It’s a quick, weeknight dinner solution that the entire family will love. Mix up your burger routine and make a chicken burger!
So, burgers are one of those things we usually make during the summer so seeing as we’re heading into the colder months we will really miss our grill! Goodbye, BBQ Tenderloin and Grilled Corn – we’ll miss you! The hardest are the burgers, though. I love grilled burgers!
So, as much as I’m looking forward to baking more and making cozy dinners I’m always a little sad when we clean and cover the grill for the winter. So, you might be wondering – well, if grilling season is over for you what’s with the chicken burgers? I’m so glad you asked! I cooked these easy Chicken Burgers with Ranch using my – are you ready for it? – broiler. Yep, these juicy burgers cook in about 10 minutes in the oven, but you’d never know. They totally look and taste like they were grilled!
My sister-in-law told me about this recipe for chicken burgers. We usually stick with beef burgers or turkey burgers, so I was curious about using ground chicken to make a burger. I played around with the recipe she shared – I changed it a lot and mixed it up – and (spoiler alert!) they are yummy! Obviously, they have ranch dressing on them because you know how we love our ranch around here! Maybe I’ll throw some bacon bits in next time. You know how I roll.
Tender chicken burgers dripping with ranch – you know I’m in love! I think you will be, too, when you see how easy they are to make!

I was entertaining for some friends who love chicken wings, but was looking for something healthier than fried wings. I knew this recipe would be a perfect fit! I used ranch dressing powder (2 tbsp) and buffalo wing sauce (4 tbsp) in place of the ranch dressing and BBQ. I am now famous in my neighborhood for this burger! You have to try this variation!

Oh my goodness that sounds amazing! Must try soon!

I have been reading through the comments and I am confused. Does the ranch go into the chicken mixture or just on the prepared burger
Julie Evink says
I just topped the burger with the Ranch dressing at the end like it says in the directions! 🙂
Jan says
Where do you get ground chicken? I can only find ground turkey around here. Would turkey taste the same?
Thanks, Jan
Julie Evink says
I found the fresh ground chicken in by the fresh chicken breast. Otherwise I’ve found it in the freezer section by the frozen ground sausage and stuff. Not sure about the turkey! I would think you’d be ok, but it might be a little more dry?
Michelle says
Did you use powdered ranch dressing or liquid out of a bottle?
Julie Evink says
Liquid but you can always mix up your own!
Julie says
We tried these for dinner last night and loved them!! The kids were skeptical at first, but after one bite, they were hooked;) Thanks!!
Julie Evink says
So glad to hear it! I was a bit nervous too but was pleasantly surprised!
Lisa says
My patties absolutely fell apart in the oven; they were way too flimsy. Not sure what happened??
Julie Evink says
No that is so weird. I’ve made this recipe several times along with other people and I’ve never heard of that happening? Were they pattied to thin?
Cathy@LemonTreeDwelling says
I’m always looking for new uses for ground chicken. These sound awesome – pinning to try for dinner!!
Paula says
Do you put the butter in with the ground chicken or you just use it on the buns????
Julie Evink says
Just on the buns!
Amy says
You might want to update the recipe so it says to add everything except the buns and the butter. I wondered the same thing until I read the whole recipe. But unfortunately I usually don’t!!
Kristal says
These were so easy to make and absolutely delicious!
Julie Evink says
Glad to hear it Kristal!

I found your site while floating around Pinterest. Every time I pinned something I like, I’d find more. Your blog should just be called “Food Erin Loves.” 😉 I cannot wait to try these recipes!!

SWEET! That’s the best problem ever to have … I’ll look into renaming my blog for you! Let me know which recipes you try. I LOVE hearing from my readers. Thanks for swinging by!
Gerri Hudson says
Does the ranch dressing only go on the bun and not into the burger?
Julie Evink says
I only put it on the prepared burger but if you want it in the burger you could sub some of the seasonings for dry ranch or sub out the BBQ sauce for ranch dressing instead.
Amber says
I’m thinking instead of the BBQ sauce, I’ll use buffalo! Hubby doesn’t like BBQ sauce and ranch mixed, but for some reason, I married him anyway. 🙂
Julie Evink says
That will totally work, but to be honest I never even hardly tasted the BBQ sauce!
Julie Evink says
Thanks Faith! Glad you found me!
Julie Evink says
Thanks Kim! I got my button too 🙂
Patti says
These look really good. I am trying to watch my weight and carbs. It seems like a lot of bread crumbs. Have you tried to use Ranch powder dressing mix and omit some of the bread crumbs?
Julie Evink says
I’ve never tried either option. I did use a fat free dressing on my burgers. You could try reducing the breadcrumbs and if they stay together fine I think that would work?
