What is Wild Rice?
Wild rice is a nutritious whole grain and is not actually rice! It’s actually from a water grass that grows wild in lakes and rivers. It looks very different from regular rice, too. It’s long and slender and dark brown in color with a very distinctive flavor once it’s cooked.
I used Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice, which is a combination of long grain rice and wild rice.
