Hello!! I just wanted to double check an ingredient. You have 1 2 0z. pkg of ranch dressing mix needed, but I can only find 1 oz. pkgs. I just wanted to clarify that it is 2 oz. of the mix rather than 1 oz. I can’t wait to try this. I love your page!! 🙂
1 oz will work fine!
My reading says 1 1oz ranch dressing mix,.
Great option to change it to your preferences!
I make this same recipe except I add a 12 oz can of chicken breast (drained). I call it chicken bacon ranch dip. None of it is ever left!
Beware of it becoming too salty with a whole ranch packet. I used a bit over half packet and it was great. Addicting for sure.
Just joined your page. Looking forward to great recipes.
I have been making a version of your Crack Dip recipe for years. I use the same ingredients in mine but instead of sour cream, I use 8 oz. cream cheese. And I add a can of chunk chicken breast, drained. If it’s too thick, then I add a tsp. or two of sour cream. I usually serve it with Ritz crackers. Every one whose tried it cannot believe it’s such simple a recipe to be so good. Hope you enjoy my version.
Sounds like some fabulous alterations to that recipe!!
Yesterday, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and
tested to see if it can survive a 30 foot drop, just so she can be
a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she has 83 views.
I know this is totally off topic but I had
to share it with someone!
I won’t make anything that glorifies drug use by naming this recipe “Crack Dip”. Stupid name.
Pretty sure you can rename it anything you’d like. I”m 20 years clean & sober and I just call it best Thing Ever. Ironically, that’s what I used to call tequila!!
It was honestly just a play on words back when I first started blogging and didn’t think anyone would ever see these! Now I’m a bit stuck with the name… hindsight is always 20/20 I guess!
Really…. call it what you want… who gives a shit what the name is ….
There’s one in every crowd I guess,
that reads too much into everything
I’m LMFAO really lady? Get a fucking life???
You have got to be kidding me!!! So POT pie is out of the question too? LOL
LOL! Apparently it must be 😉 Never thought of that one!
I’ve made this a lot. Friends love it. I usually add some finely diced chicken, a few diced scallions, and a little garlic. Can’t beat it.
Oh those sound like great additions!
Easy and YUMMY. Nice! Thanks for sharing at Scrumptious Sunday!
I found you over at Weekend Potluck. This dip sounds amazing, the combination sounds fantastic! I’m a Minnesota girl too, so I totally get what you’re saying about springtime here! 🙂
I make this all the time! It’s my favorite dip. I never knew it actually had a name, lol
Interesting! I’d never have thought to add cheese. But the bacon seems like a no-brainer. 😉 I mean, there’s nothing that can’t improve with bacon. Maybe ice cream? Hmm…
Yummy! I’ll be making this soon… Thanks so much for sharing at Mix it up Monday 🙂
