Crock Pot Green Beans with Bacon ~ Quick and Easy Slow Cooked Side Dish Perfect for the Holidays!

Ready for Easter? I know it seems like it’s really far away and it’s probably the last thing on your mind. But it’s totally creeping up on us! It’s early this year isn’t it? April 5th is the day if you didn’t know it already. Yes, I Googled that for you because I didn’t know either. It’s right around the corner. Do you do Easter baskets? We do so I’ve been on the lookout for some stuff. I ordered Miss K a cute swimsuit, sunglasses, and flip flops. For Miss Ry I did some bibs. Exciting and practical aren’t I? Every time I go the candy route it lays around and I’m the one that ends up eating it so I figure this is much better for my hips! Plus Miss K has been asking to go swimming at the lake since January. Now she’s really going to be asking!

How about your Easter plans. I’m not sure what we are doing yet, but I can tell you that wherever we end up I would love to be in charge of the vegetable because I want this green beans again! I’ve made them a few times already and they are so so good. I could pretty much sit down and eat them all. I mean how can you go wrong with them? They have bacon! Bacon always makes everything better doesn’t it? The Soy Sauce in them adds just a hint of flavor and has people guessing. In fact I served them at Miss Ry’s baptism and people came over and asked me what that flavor was because it had just a tang to it they couldn’t pick out. They are delicious and easy so what’s not to love!

Plus they are made in the crock pot. Any side dish around the holidays that is made in the slow cooker is a winner in my opinion. It seems like ovens are always jammed packed and we run out of room so it’s nice to be able to throw a side dish in the crock pot and let it do it’s thing right? I know this Crock Pot Cheddar Creamed Corn, the BEST Green Bean Casserole and Crock Pot Comforting Cheesy Potatoes are popular so I’m giving you a green bean recipe to add to your list of favorite slow cooker side dishes!
