Crock Pot Cinnamon Apples – easy and delicious spiced apples! Perfect served with ice cream, on pancakes, or eaten with a spoon!

Hi again, guys! I’m Amanda from Fake Ginger and I am back over here to share another delicious recipe with you guys today!
I have been on this major comfort food kick the last few weeks. I don’t know if it is the weather or what but I am all about the yummy comforting food right now.
I want all the casseroles, all the soup, and all the delicious warm sweets like these Crock Pot Cinnamon Apples!

This recipe is so unbelievably easy. You just take some peeled and sliced tart apples, mix them with a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and let them cook in the slow cooker for a few hours. Stir once during the cooking process to make sure all the apples gets nicely coated in the cinnamon sauce and you’ve got delicious gooey cinnamon apples in no time at all!
It tastes just like apple pie without the crust! My favorite way to serve it is on top of vanilla ice cream because then it really does feel like pie! The hot apples with the frozen ice cream is just absolute perfection! It is also really delicious stirred into oatmeal, served on top of pancakes, or just eaten with a spoon! I’ve made this recipe 3 times in the last couple weeks because we are seriously putting the apples on top of everything!
If you happen to have a can of crescent rolls on hand, I highly recommend rolling some of the cinnamon apples in the crescents and baking until golden and delicious. So good. Even better with a scoop of ice cream on the side!
You have to try this easy recipe if you are an apple lover! I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Another one of my favorite apple recipes in my crock pot is this Apple Butter recipe!

Rose Romero says
This is rose again can I eliminate the cornstarch altogether
Julie Evink says
The cornstarch is going to thicken the sauce or it will be watery so that is needed.
Stephanie says
In case anyone was wondering about doubling this recipe, I have made this several times and doubled just the apples (used 12-13) and it still makes PLENTY of sauce. Less sugar per serving that way too, cooked on low 4.5 hours, perfect every time!
Julie Evink says
Wonderful to hear Stephanie!
Denise says
This was OUTSTANDING! I have been looking for the perfect base to apple crisp and I will look no more. After cooking in the crockpot, I omitted the cornstarch and placed in a 9×13 pan. I created a topping using oats, flour, butter, and brown sugar. Baked it for 20 minutes. I had so many rave reviews from my family. This is a keeper. Can’t wait to use the base for all of the delicious things that Julie describes in her post as well. It is a must try!
Julie Evink says
Ooooo that sounds amazing! So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for coming back and rating the recipe and commenting!
Megan S. says
Could this be made in my mini crockpot or is the recipe too big?
Julie says
I don’t think it would fit in a mini crock pot, you could maybe half the recipe and try it!
Rose Romero says
Can I use pecans and walnuts? Can’t wait to try it 😋
Julie Evink says
I wouldn’t add those until the end or as an additional topping or they would become mushy.
Crissy suva says
Nest recipe out there. The apples are full of flavor and the sauce is creamy and thick
Julie says
Great! Glad you loved it!
Carla says
Have you tried making these in the instant pot? If so, what directions did you use?
Julie says
I have not tried these in the instant pot, sorry!

cheryl says
I’d love to make this but my husband is allergic to Cinnamon.
Can I use cloves instead?
Julie says
Yes, you could use cloves or nutmeg.
Melissa says
Do you think I could water bath can this recipe?
Julie says
Hi Melissa – Sorry, I don’t think this would be a great canning recipe.
Sheree Hyde says
Melissa you certainly could water bath can this recipe! I would just change the corn starch to cooked clear jel and waterbath at 20 minutes. I have done it before. I also added one teaspoon lemon juice to each quart jar. Brightens up the taste and helps insure the correct PH. Sheree Hyde
Lisa Emerson says
Yes I’m interested in that also … hope we can.
Cara says
If I wanted to make more at once, do you think I could just double the recipe?
I used this recipe last Thanksgiving. I love how simple it is, and it was a huge hit!
Julie Evink says
Yes I think that would work just fine, but I’ve never tested it! It might take a bit longer to cook that’s all!
Cara says
Thank you!
Just for anyone else’s reference- we did double the recipe, and it worked wonderfully & fit perfectly (to the top) in the average size oval crockpot. It did take longer to cook, but I can’t say exactly how long given I turned it off to drive it to an event and then back on.
Julie Evink says
So glad it worked!
Kay says
Can you freeze the apples after cooking?
Julie Evink says
I’ve never tried this, but I would think that would be fine! Let us know if you try it!
Chris says
The actual recipe and amount of ingredients is no longer listed. What are they?
Julie Evink says
FIXED!
Dora says
Made this tonight and my family just loved it. I also put on pie crust and it came out heavenly.
Julie Evink says
Love the idea to put it on pie crust!
Susanne F. says
We made these cinnamon apples at Thanksgiving. Due to popular demand we made them again on Christmas Eve. They were a huge hit both times. Everyone, from our grandchildren to the older adults, loved them. We found that our slow cooker runs a bit high, so our apples didn’t take as long as the recipe suggested. However, our first batch made a delightful cinnamon apple sauce! I highly recommend this recipe. It couldn’t be easier and it is delicious!
Julie Evink says
That’s awesome Susanne! They are so easy and delicious!
