The BEST Easy Meal Plan! 6 Dinners, 1 Breakfast, 1 Healthier Meal and 2 Desserts….all tried & true, family tested, and guaranteed to make your week easier!

We stayed home from the lake this weekend to get some stuff done around the house. It always feels good to do that, well actually I’m just REALLY behind on this little blog, so it was more that! One more week of full-time work outside the blog and then I go part-time and I’m SO FREAKIN’ excited to be able to focus on the blog 2-3 days per week with no one around my house. It’s going to be life changing!

I’ve also been getting a ton of new inventory in over at Drops of Sunshine and so I needed to get that organized! If you need some cute clothes head over there as I have a TON of new stuff! I also have some cute new home decor. Make sure to sign up for our emails, follow us on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram so you don’t miss anything. PLUS, we have a 20% off sale over there for our one year anniversary. Use “20ANNIVERSARY” at checkout!

I’ve been living in Lots of Dots Floral TeeChloe Floral Criss Cross Top, and Mint Tri-Pocket Tee. Also, I scored this Juniper Faux Wrap Maxi Dress, which I bought from Stitch Fix last spring, but I have it for HALF PRICE what I paid for it! I love it. It’s so flattering because of the wrap design!

  MY OTHER RECIPES

Anyways, we had been working all day on Saturday so I promised the girls that we would do something fun after Ry’s nap. When she got up I told them to get their swimsuits on and I was going to take them to the splash pad. I should have known when Ry threw a fit when we tried to get her suit on that this was a bad, bad idea. I forged ahead.

We got to the splash pad and Miss K was all excited, Ry clung to me and spied the river. She decided she wanted to go jump in the river instead. Uhhhh. No. No. No. This kid!

Miss K ran through the water approximately three times, started shivering and decided she was done. It was almost 90 degrees out but that water is FREEZING. In the meantime Ry spotted the playground and that was her new mission. I persuaded them to go to a different playground that was less busy.

We arrived at the playground and it was all great for about 15 minutes. Then Miss K cut her toe, there was blood and we went home. The entire outing lasted approximately one hour.

Sigh.

I think I’ll admit defeat and just stay at home and let them play outside! So much for being a “fun” mom!
