Why this easy baked ham is a must make!
- So easy anyone can make this! It’s perfect for the beginner cook at the holidays.
- Bursting with flavor from the pineapple glaze.
- Leftovers are tasty and perfect for sliders.

Ingredients
- Boneless cooked ham – I like to use a spiral cut ham because they are easier to carve. You can use other cuts, too, like bone-in ham but the cooking time will need to be adjusted.
- Canned crushed pineapple – be sure to drain the fruit before adding it to the recipe.
- Brown sugar – when you measure it, pack it tightly in the measuring cup.
- Honey
- Spicy brown mustard – other kinds of mustard will work, too, like Dijon mustard or yellow mustard.
- Salt
- Cornstarch – this thickens the pineapple glaze so it has the perfect consistency.
How to Make It
Place the ham flat-side-down on the prepared baking sheet. Pour 1/4 cup of water in the pan and then cover the ham with foil.
Bake the ham for an hour and a half at 350°F.

How to Make Pineapple Glaze for Ham
Combine the canned pineapple, sugar, honey, mustard, salt, and cornstarch in a saucepan.
Cook the glaze on the stovetop until it’s bubbly hot and then lower the heat and simmer it for about a minute.

Uncover the ham and pour the glaze over the top. Replace the foil and bake the ham for about 30 minutes or until the internal temperature is 145°F.
Slice the ham and transfer the remaining glaze in the bottom of the pan to a gravy boat to serve on the side.
Tip: After you add the glaze, you can baste the ham a few times with the pan juices, but basting is optional.
Do you put glaze on ham before cooking?
The glaze for this pineapple ham will be put on towards the end of baking. You’ll bake the ham, covered with aluminum foil, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 1/2 hours.
Uncover the ham and pour the prepared pineapple glaze over the ham and continue baking for another 30 minutes. You can baste the ham with glaze if desired.
How should I store the ham?
Store leftover sliced ham in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for three to four days.
What can I do with leftover Ham?
We love making these recipes with our leftover ham after the holidays!
- For a quick and easy lunch you can beat this Ham Salad that is great on a soft bun or with crackers.
- Always a hit for an easy meal is this One Pot Ham & Penne. An entire meal in one pan!
- A classic comfort food like Crock Pot Scalloped Potatoes and ham can’t beat!
- Mix it up and use it for breakfast! Make easy Ham & Cheese Egg Muffins or Cheesy Ham Breakfast Casserole in the Crock Pot!
Another great option is to dice ham, store it in the a freezer bag in smaller portions and pull it out when you need it! It will stay good for about three months in the freezer.
What are substitutions I can make?
Instead of pouring water into the bottom of the pan, add pineapple juice. You can also use different kinds of mustard to change the flavor.
What can this ham be served with?
It pairs with lots of side dishes! We love it with potatoes au gratin, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, or hashbrown casserole.
Or try veggie side dishes like green beans or glazed carrots. Don’t forget some homemade dinner rolls!
More Recipe Tips
- If you want extra pineapple, place a few pineapple rings on top of the ham before you bake it.
- I use a smaller rimmed sheet pan to cook a smaller pan. This keeps the glaze from spreading out to much. If you only have a large sheet pan, you can fold the foil around the ham to keep the juices and glaze contained.
- You don’t have to line the pan with foil, but it makes clean-up easier because the glaze can caramelize on the bottom of the pan making it hard to clean.

This pineapple glazed ham is the perfect main dish for your holiday table. You will love how easy it is to make and your family friends will love how it tastes!
