Poppy Seed Cake

posted by Julie Evink on May 13, 2013

Poppy Seed Cake ~ Moist, buttery poppy seed cake drizzled in a yummy glaze! via

I love poppy seed muffins, cakes or really anything so when I was flipping through my brand spankin’ new 101 Farmhouse Favorites cookbook from Gooseberry I knew this Poppy Seed Cake was calling my name. It started off with a cake mix and just added a few simple things to really dress it up.

101 Farmhouse Favorites

What I loved about it was it didn’t have lemon in it. Now I adore lemon but my husband, not so much and I’m always trying to please him! {Sarcasm here people!}

Have you ever heard of Gooseberry? If not you are really missing out! They have wonderful cook books stuffed full of recipes like this. They are super simple to make but yet will amaze people. I know you will love them as much as I do because obviously if you are ready my blog you want simple and easy recipes!

Guess what? Today I’m giving away a copy of the 101 Farmhouse Favorites Cookbook from Gooseberry too! You lucky ducks! Just enter the Rafflecopter entry form below for your chance to win.

Once again thank you for being such wonderful readers and remember I LOVE hearing from you so chit chat with me all you want. YOU are the REASON I keep bloggin’!

Make sure you don’t miss any of the fun stuff Julie’s Eats & Treats is up too!
