Root Beer Float Ice Cream – Creamy Ice Cream that tastes just like a Root Beer Float!
Who thinks its H-O-T out there? Don’t get me wrong I’d rather have this than -30 in the winter with a ton of snow. I’ll just stay in my air conditioned house. I’d rather walk outside and be welcomed by the heat than the freezing cold weather any day. Now ask my husband who has been shingling lately at work and his answer just might be different. I’ll ignore his answer and just make him some of this Root Beer Float Ice Cream.
Ice Cream is his new addiction. Well, I take that back there is nothing new about this addiction, but the homemade aspect of it is totally new. I previously this year have made him Nutter Butter Ice Cream, Cookies & Cream Ice Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. He loved them all. I take a bite and walk away. My hips don’t love them. My lips on the other hand. They’d like to make out with them. Shhhhh don’t tell my hubby!
This refreshing treat came to me when I saw a recipe for Root Beer Fudge. Don’t ask me how I went from fudge to ice cream but it did. You should be thankful. It’s a refreshing treat that tastes like Root Beer Floats but in ice cream. To-Die-For!

Root Beer Float Ice Cream & Amazon Giveaway
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup of half and half
- 3/4 cups of sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 tsp Root Beer extract
- In a large mixing bowl combine, heavy cream, half and half, sugar, vanilla and root beer extract. Mix until well combined.
- Pour into ice cream maker and prepare according to according to directions.
