Ingredients for Steak Fried Rice
- Eggs – Use large eggs to scramble and mix into this yummy steak fried rice.
- Minced garlic – Freshly minced garlic is the easiest way to make this dish flavorful.
- Sesame oil – Sesame oil has a really distinct and nutty flavor, so I don’t recommend swapping it with a different oil in this recipe.
- Onion – Dice up a yellow onion or white onion and sauté it.
- Soy sauce – For a lower sodium option, use low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos.
- Oil – I use vegetable oil or canola oil, but olive oil and avocado oil will work too.
- White rice – Day-old rice is the best way to make fried rice. I like to use long grain white rice, like jasmine rice.
- Peas and carrots – Add frozen peas and carrots to your fried rice for an easy vegetable addition.
- Green onion – Slice up green onion to use as a garnish for your steak fried rice.
- Steak – You’ll need cooked, diced steak for this recipe. It’s a great use for leftover steak.

Pro Tips for the Best Steak Fried Rice
- Make sure the heat isn’t too high on the stovetop or the fried rice could end up sticking. This is especially important when you go to cook the egg!
- Chop the steak into tiny pieces so that it heats quickly and there’s plenty of beef throughout the fried rice.
- For best results, don’t use fresh rice. Day-old rice is best! But if you don’t have that then you at least need to let a pot of fresh rice completely cool before using.

looks as if garlic is labeled as green beans in picture of ingredients for use. that’s the reason for a 3. no green beans listed in preparation of the fried rice steak.

Thank you for drawing our attention to that mistake although I’m not sure how it correlates to giving us a recipe rating of 3 since you’ve never made this recipe.
