Crescent Roll

BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

1 lb pork sausage ½ c diced yellow onion 1-8 oz can Pillsbury crescent rolls or 1 can crescent dough sheet 10 eggs ½ c milk ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon salt 1 c shredded mozzarella cheese  2 c shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat over to 350 F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

If you are using crescent rolls unroll them and place side-by-side in the baking dish, pressing seams together to seal. If you are using a crescent dough sheet, unroll and place in a baking dish stretching if needed to cover the entire bottom of the dish. Set aside.

In a skillet brown pork sausage and onion until no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.

While the sausage is cooking, combine eggs, milk, pepper and salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk to combine. Add Mozzarella cheese and one cup of cheddar cheese, stir to combine.

Sprinkle cooked sausage mixture over the top of crescent roll dough in the baking dish. Then pour the egg mixture on top. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.

Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
