First, prepare the cake batter and bake.
Meanwhile, make the buttermilk glaze. Poke holes in the cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Pour the buttermilk glaze over the top, and let the cake cool.
Now, make the cream cheese frosting. Spread it over the cooled cake and top with toasted coconut.
