Ingredients

  • 1 tube pizza dough (13.8 ounces)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside
  • Unroll the pizza dough. You may want to sprinkle flour on the surface before rolling out pizza dough to prevent sticking.
  • Spread half the pizza sauce onto the dough and sprinkle the cheese over the sauce.
  • Roll the dough lengthwise (long way) into a log and slice it into 12 equal pieces.
  • Place the pinwheels onto the prepared sheet pan.
  • Bake for 17-20 minutes in preheated oven until golden brown.
  • Warm the remaining sauce to dip your pinwheels in, and enjoy.

Notes

Can You Add Other Pizza Toppings?
Yes, you can add other toppings! Make pepperoni pizza pinwheels with mini pepperoni. Or add other favorite meat toppings or vegetables. Just keep in mind that any raw meat (like sausage, ground beef, bacon, etc.) will need to be cooked first.
Also, don’t add too many toppings because this will make it harder to roll up the dough and the pinwheels might not stay together.
Storage Tips
Store leftover pizza pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep well for three to four days.
