- 3 onions quartered and thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 4 oz Cream cheese room temperature
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 scallion thinly sliced
Melt your butter in a saute pan over medium heat. Add the onions to the pan and cook until they are softened. Stir in the balsamic glaze and salt. Continue to cook until the onions are caramelized. Allow the onions to cool.
In a medium mixing bowl, stir the sour cream and cream cheese until it's smooth.
Mix in the onions and Worcestershire sauce.
Sprinkle some of the scallions on top and serve with chips or crackers.
- Balsamic glaze is a sweet reduction of balsamic vinegar. Most grocery store will have it near the vinegar section. If you’re unable to find it, use 2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar and 1 teaspoon sugar.
