Snowflake Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

Cookies

  • 1 c. butter flavored shortening
  • 3/4 c. Truvía® Baking Blend?
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp Truvía® Baking Blend?
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Icing

  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • In a large mixing bowl mix together shortening, Truvía® Baking Blend?, and eggs. Mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Chill dough for 1 hour.
  • In small mix together 2 Tbsp Truvía® Baking Blend? and cinnamon.
  • Roll dough into small balls. Then roll in cinnamon mixture. Placed about 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Flatten with back of spatula or bottom of glass.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Mix together ingredients for icing. You want this to be thick so you can pipe it. Place in ziploc bag. Cut small corner off bag. Pipe Snowflakes on top of cookies.
  • Store in air tight container.
