Notes

Can I add ice?
If you wanted to add ice, you’d be more than welcome to. I find the smoothie is thick enough without ice when you use frozen bananas, but if you prefer a really thick, extra-cold smoothie, feel free to add that ice or if you are using fresh bananas add ice.
What’s the best way to freeze bananas?
Grab extra bananas on your next grocery run. Peel them, break into pieces and lay them on a baking sheet, not touching. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 1-2 hours or until bananas are frozen. Transfer them into a bag and you’ll have frozen bananas for your next smoothie anytime you want one!
Can I add vanilla?
Yes! This will make it taste more like a creamsicle so feel free to add that to your smoothies.
I’d like a sweeter smoothie can I add something to it?
We recommend adding either a little bit of honey or maple syrup if you like it sweeter. Blend it up, taste and adjust the sweetness depending on your preferences.
Can I make this vegan?
Yes, make sure to use soy or unsweetened nut milk. Replace the Greek yogurt with non-dairy yogurt and make sure to use honey if you sweetened it and not maple syrup.
Can I skip the banana?
You can, but you need to make some adjustment because the banana makes the smoothie creamy. You can add an additional 1/2 c. Greek yogurt and ice cubes. Another option is to use a half of a ripe avocado and some ice, but make sure to sweeten the smoothie if you do this. Frozen pineapple would work to, but you’ll have a pineapple orange smoothie!
