Simmer water and granulated sugar over medium heat until it is fully dissolved. Pour it into a jar and let it come to room temperature. Add lemon juice and lime juice. Store it in a sealed container for a week or for up to a month in the freezer.
Pitcher of Margaritas (6 margaritas)
To make a pitcher combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and serve over ice.
To make a single cocktail, combine the ingredients in a drink shaker filled with ice, or a jar or glass if you don’t have one. Shake or stir, to mix ingredients together.
Rub a lime wedge over the rim of the glass and dip into coarse salt. Add ice into the glass.
Pour margarita into a glass over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge on the edge.
