Instant Pot Cinnamon Apples

Make these quick and easy cinnamon apples in your pressure cooker!

Ingredients

  • 6 Granny Smith apples peeled and thinly sliced
  • ½ c. granulated sugar
  • ½ c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • tsp nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp butter cubed
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Place the apples in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  • Add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter to Instant Pot. Stir to combine the mixture.
  • In a small bowl combine the water and cornstarch, whisk to combine then add to the Instant Pot. Stir mixture to combine.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot, lock and make sure the valve is in the sealing position.
  • Press the manual button, high pressure and set the time to cook for 10 minutes.
  • Once the Instant Pot has finished pressure cooking, do a quick release to release any remaining pressure.
  • Once the valve drops, open the Instant Pot, gently stir the apples and serve.

STORAGE TIPS
You can make them ahead and keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Warm them up on the stove or in the microwave.
You can also freeze cooked apples. Allow them to cool and then store them in a freezer container. They will keep well for up to three months.
