The Chew: Easy Strawberry Napoleon
Easy Strawberry Napoleon ~ Layers of puff pastry with French Vanilla Pudding and Strawberries!
Servings: 6 servings
- 17 oz frozen puff pastry
- 3.4 oz pkg. instant french vanilla pudding mix
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 c. Cool Whip
- 2 c. stemmed and sliced strawberries
- 1 tbsp small cube chocolate CandiQuik
- 1 tbsp small cube white CandiQuik
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Thaw folded pastry sheets for 20 minutes. Open sheets and cut along folds to make 6 equal strips and then cut each of those strips into halves to make six rectangles. Place on baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool on a baking rack.
Whisk pudding mix, milk and extract in a mixing bowl for 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping. Cover and refrigerate.
Take one rectangle of pastry and place a spoonful of whipped topping on it. Then add sliced strawberries. Repeat. Top with one pastry rectangle.
Melt chocolate chips according to package directions. Drizzle over top of the pastries. Melt white chocolate chips according to package directions and drizzle over top of pastries.
