Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 ½ tsp ground allspice
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cloves

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix all ingredients together until well blended
  • Store in an airtight container

Notes

  • If you’re feeling fancy feel free to grind whole spices to make pumpkin pie spice! You will need a spice grinder and it will take a little more time but it’s a fun project.
  • Be sure to check the expiration date on the spices before you mix them. If they are old it’s better to use fresh ones otherwise, the mix won’t last as long. It’s also a good idea to label the container with the date you made the mix so it’s easy to tell how old it is.
  • When you store any kind of spices air is the enemy! So, always keep it stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Stored properly it will last a few years.
  • You can easily double or triple the recipe and divide it into cute containers for gifts.
