- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- ¾ c. Italian style breadcrumbs
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 egg beaten
- ¼ c. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
In a large mixing bowl combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, egg, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape beef mixture into 1 inch meatballs and place in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not touching so the air can circulate around them. You may need to cook them in batches.
Cook meatballs at 400 degrees F for about 10 minutes or until internal temperature is 165 degrees F.
Remove from the air fryer and keep warm while you repeat with the rest of the meatballs.
For tender and juicy meatball don’t over mix the meat mixture. Also, when you form the meatballs, lightly shape them – if you compact the meat too much your meatballs will be dense.
Cook them in an even layer in the air fryer basket. They should be spaced apart so the air can circulate around them. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
The meatballs are done when the internal temperature is 165°F. If you don’t have a meat thermometer – just slice one in half to check. It should not be pink in the middle.
These meatballs are great for meal prepping! Make and cook a batch and store them in an airtight container. They will keep in the refrigerator for three to four days.
