Ingredients

Magic Dust

  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard powder
  • 1/4 cup chile powder
  • 1/4 cup ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne or less to taste

Barbecue Sauce

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon magic dust
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Hot sauce such as Tabasco to taste

Instructions

  • Make the magic dust first by combining all of the ingredients in a container than shaking to combine them.
  • For the barbecue sauce, mix all of the ingredients together in a pot over medium high heat and bringing to a boil. Reduce to a simmer for 20 minutes, stirring until sauce is dark and ingredients incorporated.
  • Remove from heat and serve on anything!
