Marinara Sauce


2 Tbsp  olive oil ½ medium yellow onion 3 garlic cloves  28 oz crushed tomatoes 6 oz tomato paste 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp salt ¼ tsp black pepper 1 Tbsp fresh parsley

Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and add 2 Tablespoons olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add ½ cup chopped onion, stirring until soft and golden. Add minced garlic and stir for 1 min.

Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a light boil then reduce heat and simmer partially covered for 15 minutes.

Finally, stir in fresh parsley then turn off the heat. Serve warm over pasta.
