Sparkling Cherry Limeade Recipe ~ Just like Sonic’s Famous Cherry Limeade! Now You Can Have it at Home with Only Four Ingredients!
This is one of my favorite refreshing summer drinks.
I mean, is there anything better than an icy cold drink by the pool in the summer?
Nope.
That right there is pretty much the best thing ever.
Can you tell that I’m really excited for summer? I’m counting down the days until my kids are done with school! And our pool officially opens in less than two weeks! And I have an epic summer beach roadtrip that needs to be planned!
Cannot wait. Summer is my fave.
If you have ever had a cherry limeade from Sonic, that is what this tastes like. But better because you don’t have to leave your house to get it! You don’t have to be tempted by the chili cheese dog and jalapeno poppers while you wait for the roller skating car hop to bring you your drink.
Or is that just me that can’t resist fried jalapenos and footlong hot dogs?
Anyway, this cherry limeade is also really, really simple to make. You just need a few ingredients, some of which you probably already have in your house.
So you need a can of frozen limeade concentrate, a small bottle of Sprite or 7Up, and a jar of maraschino cherries. Plus, lime wedges to put on top if you want! Stir everything together – but add the Sprite right before you serve – and pour it over ice! Top with a lime wedge and a cherry and you are good to go!
Seriously, the most delicious summer drink. It’s sweet but still tart and if you are feeling frisky, you could definitely add a shot of vodka or tequila for the adults. Love strawberry? Mix it up with this Strawberry Limeade!

Hi Julia. Thanks for your question. I do not have experience using grenadine but you could certainly give it a try! Sounds tasty!
