FAQ
Below is a list of frequently asked questions.
I made your recipe and it didn’t work. What went wrong?
So many possibilities! I try very hard to make my recipes reliable but there are quite a few factors that can cause a recipe to go wrong and unfortunately I am not in the kitchen with you to see the entire cooking or baking method. Please tell me exactly what was unsatisfactory in your end product and I’ll do my best to assist you. Please make sure to read the entire recipe before starting to bake or cook!
Is there an easier way to get your recipes?
Of course! Simply sign up for my recipes by email and whenever I post a new recipe you’ll receive it in your inbox and it’s FREE!
Who designed your website?
Laura from Pixel Me Designs! She totally “got” me and what I was envisioning. I highly recommend her!
Can you include nutritional stats to your recipes?
At the bottom of most recipe cards there is nutritional information that is pre-calculated by a system. I can not guarantee they are perfectly accurate. If you are on a special diet please feel free to figure out your own nutritional information!
How did you start your blog? Do you have any tips for beginners?
You can read all about how my blog started on my “About Me” page, but really it was just dumb luck and little planning! If you are interested in tips for blogging please check out the following posts Making Money Blogging and Food Photography with Ego Artificial Lights.
Is blogging your full time job?
Yes! I quit my full-time job outside of the home in the fall of 2017 and now work on this blog along with our other blog, Gimme Some Grilling full time.
What happens to all the food?
Let’s just say my family, friends and old coworkers love me! A lot of treats find new homes, but when it comes to main dishes it’s typical our meals so what I blog is what we eat!
Can I reprint a recipe from julieseatsandtreats.com or use your photos on my blog or website?

What camera and lens do you use?
I currently use a Canon 80D. I started with a simple point and shoot camera and upgraded a few years ago and my photography as improved immensely, some from the camera, but a lot from reading and learning more about photography.
