How to Make Flower Pretzel Bites
- Preheat your oven to 250 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicon baking mat. Place the square pretzels onto the lined cookie sheet, evenly spaced out.
- Put one candy wafer melt onto center of each pretzel. Place the pretzels into the oven for 2 minutes, just until the candy is slightly melted.
- Place a pastel M&M in the center of your pretzel and then place six more M&M’s around it to create a flower pattern!
- Allow the pretzels to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then enjoy!
How to Store Spring Flower Pretzel Bites
Place M&M flower pretzels flower pretzels into an airtight container or ziptop plastic bag. Store at room temperature for 7 days. I don’t recommend storing in the fridge since the change in temperature could cause the candy to sweat and make the pretzels soggy.
Can I use milk chocolate instead of white candy melts?
I would recommend using candy melts over chocolate. They will set better and have a better shelf life after being melted too. That being said, yes, you can use a different flavor of candy melts if you prefer! I like the white color because it helps keep the flowers bright, but another flavor and color will work just fine. Another option would be melting wafers.
Why are my candy melts so messy?
If you end up with candy melts that have become a liquidy mess on top of your pretzels, you likely melted them for too long. You also may have used too high of a temperature.
Make sure you are only heating the candy for 2 minutes at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. They may look like they aren’t melted when you pull them out of the oven, but they are! Once you push M&M’s into it to form your M&M petals, you’ll see that they softened perfectly.
Pro Tips for the Best Flower Pretzel Bites
- Before you begin the decorating process, separate your M&M’s into colors so you can quickly and easily find the color you are looking for.
- It’d be great to have an extra person or two when decorating the pretzels. The M&Ms need to go into the softened candy melt quickly before they begin to set!
- If you need these to set more quickly, pop them in the fridge for 15 minutes.
This flower pretzel candy is so much fun! I hope you enjoy this salty sweet snack and that it puts a cheerful smile on your face. Make this for one of your fun Easter desserts!
