Sweet Candy Corn Snack Mix ~ Chex, Candy Corn M&M's, Pretzels, Peanuts, Candy Corn and Pretzels dressed in Vanilla CANDIQUIK® and drizzled with Chocolate!

Got that Halloween costume all picked out? Got the kids ready for Halloween and the mantel decorated?

Are you one of those people that hand makes their costumes and goes all out?

I hate you. Well not really, but really I might. I’m just jealous. I can bake. I can cook. I’m not real creative to say the least. I struggle with Halloween and therefore I dislike it because it makes me feel like a slight failure. So I avoid it and try not to be the lame person that doesn’t dress up when everyone goes out and has a good time. I secretly come up with and excuse that I’m “busy” that night.

It’s really just that I’m not creative and slightly lame. Please, please tell me I’m not the only one.

So while you are off making love with your sewing machine and Halloween costume I’m going to keep coming up with all kinds of Halloween treats that are super yummy and fantastic because I can do that. And boy do I do it well. Take this amazing snack mix for instance. It’s loaded with Chex, peanuts, Candy Corn, Candy Corn M&M’s and pretzels. Then I gave it a nice bath in some vanilla Candiquik.

It’s sweet. It’s salty. It’s heaven. Sweet+Salty=Heaven.

Following me? Good. Now get off that rear and go make this. Oh P.S. you might have to invite  your brother-in-law over then stuff him full of these Caramel Apple Muffins and then send him how with a huge bag full of this snack mix because, well, you can’t keep your fingers out of it. This may or may not be a true story straight from Julie’s life.

  • Rebecca @ Dorm Room Baker

So much yumminess! I don’t know if I can handle it. What exactly is Candiquik by the way? I’ve never heard of it before.

    • Julie Evink

It’s just a brand of Almond Bark I like to use!

  • Erin

Is there anything else I can substitute for the candiquick? There isn’t any stores that carry by me. :)Thank you

    • Julie Evink

It’s just a brand of Almond Bark. So any almond bark will work!

  • Cathy@LemonTreeDwelling

I am definitely not someone who goes all out for Halloween….in fact, I can’t think of the last time I dressed up or decorated my house in any real way. So no worries, you don’t have to hate me 🙂 This snack mix looks awesome, Julie!!

    • Julie Evink

Oh good. I can sleep tonight now!

  • Erin

Thank you SO much! Im having a Halloween Themed movie night and I thought it would be cool to make a big batch of this and put in little individual treat bags for them 🙂

  • Stephanie @ PlainChicken

Looks SO good!! I could eat a ton of this.

  • Heather @ Sugar Dish Me

Okay so don’t hate — I make ALL our Halloween costumes. BUT! I can’t sew. Um nooooo. I just get really creative with old clothes, the Goodwill, and some cheap face paint. You can do it! Plus, serving food like this you could probably get away with just wearing a witch hat and calling it a day. Thanks for sharing with us at Saturday Night Fever every week Julie!!!

    • Julie Evink

I’ll just hate on you a tiny little bit that’s all 😉 I’ll serve this, wear the witches hat and if I go all out I’ll throw on a wig!

  • Megan - The Emotional Baker

I’ve been wanting to make a Halloween Snack Mix. This looks perfect. Can’t wait to try it!
