Ranch Pretzels are a quick, addictive snack seasoned with ranch, dill, and garlic, baked to perfection and always a crowd favorite at parties—so good you’ll want to bring copies of the recipe to share!
I love appetizers and snacks that are easy to put together and leave out when hosting guests. That way everyone can munch at their own convenience and when kids get hungry they are able to serve themselves. Pretzel snacks are a big hit in our house and ranch pretzels are impossible to stop eating, so make a double batch! This ranch pretzel recipe is so simple, you are going to have it on hand all the time.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- You only need 6 ingredients for this delicious savory snack.
- Once you mix the pretzel mix together, it is pretty much hands off. Just stir the ranch seasoned pretzels in the pan every 15 minutes.
- This is a great snack to have on hand throughout the week to add to lunches or to tide everyone over between activities.
These ranch pretzels are a perfect game day snack! I can’t wait to bring these to my next football party!
Ingredients for Ranch Pretzels
- Popcorn oil – You can also use a vegetable oil or canola oil. Oil is what helps the seasonings stick to the pretzels.
- Seasonings – Dried dill and garlic powder are definitely already in your pantry!
- Dry ranch dressing mix – Storebought ranch seasoning is a key player in this recipe! You can also make homemade if you’ve got everything at home already.
- Pretzels – We love using classic pretzel sticks as well as butter-flavored pretzels for a little extra flavor. You can also use pretzel twists!
How To Make Ranch Pretzels
- Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl and stir it all together until the pretzels are evenly coated in the oil and seasonings.
- Spread the seasoned pretzels out in an even layer on two baking sheets.
- Bake for one hour at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the pretzels bake, give them a stir every 15 minutes.
- Cool the pretzels and then they’re ready to serve.
Storage
If you are making these ahead, or somehow end up with leftovers, store them at room temperature in an airtight container for up to a week. They will last about an extra week in the fridge, or a couple of months in the freezer.
Pro Tips
- Use a large resealable bag to mix up the pretzels with the seasoning for even easier clean-up.
- If you like a little heat, add a little bit of hot sauce or ground cayenne to the mixture before stirring.
This recipe makes enough for 16 servings, but trust me, they won’t last long – once people try them, they’ll keep coming back for more!

I’ve made this so many times, but instead, I just put all the ingredients into a large Ziploc bag, shake and lay flat, turning every couple of hours (or whenever I think of them) for 24 hours. Saves having to heat the house up in the summer!

Can I use melted butter if I don’t have popcorn oil? Or would olive or vegetable oil be better?
Courtney says
It may cause them to be a little greasy. You could definitely try better.
