Taco Oyster Crackers Recipe + VIDEO
Taco Oyster Crackers Recipe ~ Quick, Easy Snack Mix Recipe that’s Got a Kick to it! No One Will Be Able to Stop Munching on These!
Do you hang out with friends often or are you like me and life gets busy and I don’t make time for it. I get in the daily grind and it’s pretty much the last thing on my mind. Hear me there? Last weekend I made it a priority and invited a few friends over for dinner. I treated them to this amazing Crock Pot Turkey, Crock Pot Stuffing and Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes . Don’t worry I didn’t forget dessert! We enjoyed this amazing Upside Down Strawberry Cake! It’s been ages since I made that cake and I forgot how awesome it was. Trouble with being a blogger you never get to make things multiple times!
Unfortunately, one of my friends is a doctor and she happened to be on call that night and got called into the hospital so we need to have a make up date. Miss K was so excited to see her and her family that every time she walks past their Christmas card she stops and goes, “Mommy, Dr. Liz couldn’t come because she had to take care of sick people. Can she come over sometime?” So apparently I need to get them over to our house soon!
The other couple, whom I’ve known since high school and were high school sweethearts, {Insert Awwwww Here!} have two boys and I was enlightened to the fact that boys are so much different then girls! They are similar ages to my girls and they are so busy. So, so, so busy and destructive. Where areas Miss K has sass and attitude they focus on destructing. I’m not real sure which I’d rather have! Maybe someday I’ll get to find out. Although, Miss K did join in on the destructiveness just fine and I’m not going to say she’s never like that.
My walls may have a few scuffs on them and my snowman maybe missing the tassel on his hat but my heart is full! Funny thing is we have lived in our house for 2 1/2 years and they literally live 1 1/2 miles down the road and drive by our house every single day multiple times and this is the first time we’ve ever gotten together. How’s that for pathetic? I really need to focus on making this a reoccurring thing considering both kids, that could talk, were asking when they could play again. Plus, they have a pool. I think I’m inviting myself over this summer!
While we are lounging at their pool I think snacks are going to be a must right? The least I can do if I invite myself over is bring snacks! Thoughtful aren’t I? One snack that will be happening is this recipe for delicious Taco Oyster Crackers. They are so easy to make as you can see in the awesome video below. Plus, I love that they have a little zip to them. They aren’t boring that’s for sure! They are great to snack on at parties and will feed a large group!

Recipe needs to be modified. Cooking time/temp too long/high. As other reviews stated, they burned before cook time was even finished. Went right in the trash.
I’m sorry to hear that! All ovens heat differently, I’ll have to test this recipe again, I didn’t have an issue with the 20 minute time.
I agree 20 minutes is too long. I did 6 minutes to stir and then 4 more minutes
Thanks for sharing! I hope you enjoyed them!

Thank you!!
in the video it looked like you added 3 bags of crackers, but the written recipe says 2, so i was just wondering if its 2 or 3 bags? these sound amazing, and i just wanna make sure i make them the right way 🙂
Two, you can use three, but the taco flavor will be less.
These tasted amazing until I put them in the oven. 20 minutes was way too long. They’re burnt ?
Same thing here! Taste was absolutely amazing while we were snacking on them before putting them in the oven, but 20 minutes was absolutely too long. Now they just taste burned. Will definitely make again and shortened to about 10 minutes in the oven
Are these possible in the crockpot instead?
I would think so Megan… I would try cooking it similar to this recipe for Chex Mix – https://www.julieseatsandtreats.com/crock-pot-chex-mix/
Julie, Thank you for the recipe for these snacks! They sound wonderful and I am going to try them. I love the ranch flavored oyster crackers so I am sure my family will love these as well. I do have to say however, your blog is so full of advertising, I could barley read your post through all of the ads. It is unfortunate because I do love your posts, but I may have to delete my subscription. I understand having some advertising helps pay your way but I was overwhelmed! Sorry.
Hi Gail! I’m sorry you feel that way. I do my best to optimize readers experience as much as possible. Would you mind sharing with me if you were reading my blog through a mobile device, tablet or on desktop? My ads differ between the options so that would help me! Thanks!
Julie, I was on my desktop when I viewed this. Now that you say that, I usually am on my tablet and don’t have that problem! It was a Sephora ad that kept popping up and when I would try to minimize it, it would pop up again making it very annoying to read your post! I don’t want to sound mean because I love your blog and “Pin” several things off of it but it really got to me! 🙂 Thanks for concern and wanting to check it out!
That would be annoying! I’ll let my ad managers know! Sorry about that!
Love these little Taco crackers! And I love the video!! Totally cute!!
Friends with pools are the best kind of friends to have! These little crackers are great to snack on at the pool or even these days by the fire!
