These air fryer burgers are perfect for nights when you’re craving a juicy hamburger but don’t want to turn on the stove or fire-up the grill! Making burgers in your air fryer is so fast and easy you may not cook them any other way once you try it!
Do you have a burger night at your house? We do and I think I’d get some complaints if we didn’t! The kids love them and the recipe I use is easy and makes delicious, tender, and juicy cheeseburgers your family will love! Sometimes I add a healthy side dish like roasted broccoli or asparagus, but these are also great with some homemade potato salad, too!
What I love best about cooking burgers in my air fryer is that it cooks them perfectly every time. They have a nice texture on the outside while staying so juicy and tender on the inside. You don’t have to worry about overcooking them or having them come out dry – that’s the worst! Trust me, you are going to love this recipe!

Ingredients for the BEST Cheeseburgers
I like to add a few things to my beef mix when I make burgers. It gives them a boost of flavor, but don’t worry – it’s totally easy!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Ground beef (85/15)
- Worcestershire sauce
- Seasoning salt
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Sliced cheese
- Hamburger buns
What is the best ground beef to use?
I like to use 85% lean ground beef for cheeseburgers. It has enough fat to give the burgers lots of flavor without them being too greasy. You can use a leaner ground beef but your burger may not be as juicy, so just be aware!
What kind of cheese should I use?
It’s really up to you! My family loves American cheese on burgers – it melts really well!
You can use cheddar, provolone, Monterey jack, pepper jack or other cheese that you like, too. Different kinds might not melt as well so just keep that in mind when you’re choosing.
How to Cook Burgers in an Air Fryer
- In a bowl, combine the beef with the Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic and onion powders. I think it’s easiest to mix it with your hands.
- The most important thing when you make the patties is to not over mix the beef. Over mixing it packs the meat too tight which means your burger won’t be as tender. So use a light hand to mix and to form the patties.
- Depending on how big your air fryer is you may need to cook them in batches. They need to be place in a single layer so they can cook properly.
- Cook the patties for eight minutes at 360 degrees F. Flip them over and cook them for another six to eight minutes.
- Place a slice of cheese on each and cook them for another minute or until the cheese is melted. Repeat with the other patties!
Expert Tip!
- Press a thumbprint into the middle of each patty before it goes in the air fryer. This will help the patty hold it’s shape rather than shrinking as it cooks.
Add Your Favorite Toppings!
Serve them on hamburger buns and add your favorite toppings – here are some we love!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground hamburger recommend 85/15
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 slices cheese
- 4 buns
- Additional toppings lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, bacon ketchup, mustard. mayo etc.
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl combine hamburger, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, garlic powder and onion powder and combine with hands. Do not overmix. Form into 4 patties.
- Place the burgers in the air fryer, you may have to cook two at a time depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the burgers for 8 minutes at 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip the burgers over and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes or until the internal temperature of the burgers are 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Top each burger with a slice of cheese and cook for an additional minute or until the cheese is melted.
- Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

Second of your recipes I have tried, and it turned out great too. I started off with the 1.5 quart Dash air fryer because I wasn’t sure it air frying would work for me. After a week moved up to a Cosori Pro II 5.8 quart and am a true believer. So far I’ve done pork chops, a variety of potatoes, calzones, biscuits, and a bunch more.

The recipe states how long and at what temp. It will vary a little depending on how you like your burgers cooked!

If the AIR-Fririer surrounde the burger, chicken, etc, why do recipes say ‘cook foe 6-8 mins then flip and cook another 6 mins? Why not cook on 1 side until 165 temp is reached?

These look great! I’m going to try this recipe out and make 8 mini sliders instead of 4 regular burgers (will fit better in my fryer, and smaller burgers makes it easier to use lettuce “buns”). How much do you think I should decrease the cooking time if I made 8 mini sliders instead of 4 regular burgers?
