Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Air Fryer burgers cook perfectly every time so there is no guesswork about overcooking them.
- These burgers have a nice texture on the outside while staying so juicy and tender on the inside.
- This is an easy, family friendly recipe that gets dinner on the table quickly during your busy weeknights.
This is the best recipe I have tried on the air fryer my family loves it. Thank you
Ingredients for Air Fryer Burgers
- Ground beef – Look for an 85/15 ground beef. There is enough fat for lots of flavor without too much grease.
- Worcestershire sauce – Really amps up the flavor of these homemade hamburgers.
- Seasonings – Seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder.
- Sliced cheese – American cheddar, Colby Jack, whatever you like!
- Hamburger buns – Whatever buns are your family’s favorite will be perfect. We love to toast a brioche bun in our house.
How to Make Air Fryer Burgers
- In a bowl, combine the beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Use a light hand to mix the beef and seasonings together and form 4 burger patties.
- Add hamburger patties to the air fryer in a single layer in the basket.
- Cook the patties for eight minutes at 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Flip them over and cook them for another six to eight minutes. The internal temperature 160 degrees Fahrenheit to be safe to eat.
- Place a slice of cheese on each and cook them for another minute or until the cheese is melted. Repeat with the other patties!
Pro Tips
- The most important thing when you make the patties is to not over mix the beef. Over mixing it packs the meat too tight which means your burger won’t be as tender. So use a light hand to mix and to form the patties.
- Press a thumbprint into the middle of each patty before it goes in the air fryer. This will help the patty hold it’s shape rather than shrinking as it cooks.
- Depending on how big your air fryer is you may need to cook them in batches. They need to be place in a single layer so they can cook properly.
- You can use a leaner ground beef but your burger may not be as juicy as if you used an 85/15.
- Depending on how big your air fryer is you may need to cook them in batches.
Storage and Reheating
If you want to season your beef and form the patties to freeze them for another time, you can. Freeze in a single layer then wrap in plastic wrap and store in a freezer bag. Cook in the air fryer from frozen and add about 5 minutes of cook time.
Fridge: Store cooked burgers in a single layer in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Store buns and toppings in separate bags and containers.
Freezer: You can store cooked hamburgers in the freezer for another time. Thaw in the fridge overnight.
Reheat burgers in the air fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 4 minutes, flipping halfway.
So, are you ready for burger night this week?! I know your family will love these and you will love how easy the juicy hamburger recipe is to make – enjoy!

How to Serve Air Fryer Burgers
Of course, set out everyone’s favorite fixings and condiments so they can dress up their burger exactly how they like. My family loves a good toasted bun.
Sometimes I add a healthy side dish like roasted broccoli or asparagus, but these are also great with some homemade potato salad, too. Plus who doesn’t love French fries with their hamburgers?

Second of your recipes I have tried, and it turned out great too. I started off with the 1.5 quart Dash air fryer because I wasn’t sure it air frying would work for me. After a week moved up to a Cosori Pro II 5.8 quart and am a true believer. So far I’ve done pork chops, a variety of potatoes, calzones, biscuits, and a bunch more.

Fantastic recipe, but my cheese blew off! Next time I will add the cheese slice, and turn off the air fryer.

I love your help and recipes. My only problem is in knowing what temperature and how long BUT I love, love, love my Air Fryer. Thank you for helping me and you sure do. Mary
Julie Evink says
The recipe states how long and at what temp. It will vary a little depending on how you like your burgers cooked!
Gary says
If the AIR-Fririer surrounde the burger, chicken, etc, why do recipes say ‘cook foe 6-8 mins then flip and cook another 6 mins? Why not cook on 1 side until 165 temp is reached?
Michelle Sperr says
Hi Gary. You can certainly do that if you’d prefer.
Rebecca says
These look great! I’m going to try this recipe out and make 8 mini sliders instead of 4 regular burgers (will fit better in my fryer, and smaller burgers makes it easier to use lettuce “buns”). How much do you think I should decrease the cooking time if I made 8 mini sliders instead of 4 regular burgers?
Michelle Sperr says
Hi Rebecca – I haven’t made it with mini sliders before so I’m not sure how much you’ll want to decrease your cooking time – aim for an internal temp at 160 degrees. Let me know how they turn out.
