Crock Pot Cinnamon Apples – easy and delicious spiced apples! Perfect served with ice cream, on pancakes, or eaten with a spoon!
Hi again, guys! I’m Amanda from Fake Ginger and I am back over here to share another delicious recipe with you guys today!
I have been on this major comfort food kick the last few weeks. I don’t know if it is the weather or what but I am all about the yummy comforting food right now.
I want all the casseroles, all the soup, and all the delicious warm sweets like these Crock Pot Cinnamon Apples!
This recipe is so unbelievably easy. You just take some peeled and sliced tart apples, mix them with a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and let them cook in the slow cooker for a few hours. Stir once during the cooking process to make sure all the apples gets nicely coated in the cinnamon sauce and you’ve got delicious gooey cinnamon apples in no time at all!
It tastes just like apple pie without the crust! My favorite way to serve it is on top of vanilla ice cream because then it really does feel like pie! The hot apples with the frozen ice cream is just absolute perfection! It is also really delicious stirred into oatmeal, served on top of pancakes, or just eaten with a spoon! I’ve made this recipe 3 times in the last couple weeks because we are seriously putting the apples on top of everything!
If you happen to have a can of crescent rolls on hand, I highly recommend rolling some of the cinnamon apples in the crescents and baking until golden and delicious. So good. Even better with a scoop of ice cream on the side!
You have to try this easy recipe if you are an apple lover! I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Another one of my favorite apple recipes in my crock pot is this Apple Butter recipe!

I made the slow cooker cinnamon apples tonight. Followed the recipe exactly except that I added one additional apple because I had 7 on hand. This was so delicious!! Served it over ice cream for a great dessert. Next time I will sprinkle a few nuts on top just before serving as I think the added crunch would be nice. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe.
Julie Evink says
So glad you could adjust it! And, yes, nuts would be a great addition!

Made this yesterday in my Instant Pot (Steam for 2 minutes) and used coconut oil because I’m presently off dairy. I had to force myself not to stand at the counter and eat the entire bowl. So gooood!!!
Julie Evink says
I had the same problem! Glad you could adapt it to your diet!

Instead of granny smith apples I grabbed pink lady apples (all they had). Would those still work.
Julie Evink says
Yes they should!
Gislene says

HELP! I want this for my husband and me BUT we are old and chunky! So how can I reduce the calories without sacrificing the goodness!
Julie Evink says
Sorry! I’m not sure you can!
Jess says
I’m pretty sure that calorie info is not accurate. It has to be for the entire recipe not per serving. I’m going to input all the ingredients into a calorie calculator just to verify but over 1500 calories for 1 serving of “baked” cinnamon apples is absolutely insane!
Jess says
I just put all the ingredients into My Fitness Pal and they gave me a higher total calorie count but if it serves 8 people, each serving will be 230 calories. If it serves 10 it will be 184. It’s definitely a good alternative to any dessert! Can’t wait to try it.
Molly says
Can you make this so it’s diabetics can eat this i real world love to try this
Sally Blakely says
Why is the sodium so high in this?

I made these to go with our Thanksgiving ham. They were a hit. Everyone loved them. Good hot or cold. Reminded me of my moms cooked apples. Thank you for the great recipe.

So glad you enjoyed them Charlene!

Great recipe! I switched out the unsalted butter for a healthier olive oil butter with very little sea salt, the sugar I changed to 1 1/2 to 2 cups organic coconut palm sugar. Still amazing and healthier now

I was looking for something easy, that could be done in my slow cooker, and had a LOT of cinnamon in it. This totally fit the bill so I gave it a try and wow am I every glad I did!! Served it last night for dessert with a bunch of sides (oats, walnuts, raisins, and ice cream) for folks to make of this what they wanted, and it all vanished. Super yummy and a definite keeper. Thanks!!
