Tips for Making the BEST Cheddar Bay Biscuits!
If you have additional questions please make sure to comment below and we will do our best to answer them!
Do I need a rolling pin to make biscuits?
Not for these Cheddar Bay Biscuits! These are drop biscuits which are one of the easiest biscuits to make. Instead of rolling out the dough, all you have to do is drop it by the spoonful onto your baking sheet. That’s it!
What is Bisquick?
Bisquick is a baking mix that has flour, baking soda, shortening, and salt.
Why are my biscuits tough?
If your biscuits are tough instead of tender you probably overmixed the dough. Overmixing the dough develops the gluten in the flour which causes your biscuits to be tough. Once you add the flour mix it just long enough so it disappears into the dough.
How do I store leftover cheddar biscuits?
Stored in an airtight container, homemade biscuits will keep for one to two days at room temperature. Or, you can tightly wrap them and they will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator. You can also freeze biscuits for two to three months as long as they are tightly wrapped.
Can you reheat cheddar bay biscuits?
Yes, you can reheat homemade biscuits!
- microwave: wrap the biscuits in a paper towel and warm them for 30 to 40 seconds.
- oven: preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until they are warmed through.
