Why You’ll Love Chocolate S’mores Dip
- All the classic s’more flavor you love packed into an effortless recipe.
- The dip is assembled in a cast iron skillet, and the presentation is fun and impressive.
- Only a handful of ingredients create this mouth-watering dessert.
- You can have an entire skillet of this shareable dessert ready in about 10 minutes.
Ingredients for S’mores Dip
- Milk Chocolate – Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars are iconic s’mores chocolate, but if you want to mix it up, you could try other varieties.
- Cream Cheese – Softened, room temperature cream cheese incorporates the easiest.
- Chocolate Fudge – Use fudge and not chocolate syrup for the best consistency.
- Marshmallows – Regular-sized marshmallows are best for this recipe. Mini ones can burn quickly and will have more of a stiff toasted exterior. Larger marshmallows will have more of the ooey-gooey centers for dipping.
- Graham Crackers – Plain graham crackers are classic, but you could also use honey or cinnamon ones.
How To Make Chocolate S’mores Dip
Melt Chocolate – Break up 1 ½ chocolate bars or about 2 ½ oz of chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds on high. Remove from the microwave and stir. Continue to heat in 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate melts.
Combine with Cream Cheese & Fudge – Mix cream cheese and fudge into the melted chocolate. Stir until well combined.
Incorporate Marshmallows & Heat – Add 8 marshmallows to the mixture and microwave for 30 seconds. Continue to mix, then microwave at 15-second intervals until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
Coat Skillet with Graham Cracker Crumbs – Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly along the bottom of a 6” cast iron skillet.
Fill the Skillet – Pour the chocolate mixture over the graham cracker crumbs. Then cut the rest of the marshmallows in half, and line the edge of the skillet with them.
Bake, Then Garnish – Bake in a 400°F oven for 5 minutes or until the marshmallows start to brown. Then, remove the skillet from the oven and garnish the dip with 1 crushed graham cracker and the remaining squares of chocolate. Serve warm, or let it cool.
Tips & Tricks for the BEST S’mores Dip
- Serve with extra graham crackers for dipping.
- Don’t forget to let the cream cheese soften at room temperature before mixing it with the melted chocolate and fudge. It’ll be so much easier to combine the three if the cream cheese is soft.
- Make sure you microwave the chocolate in increments since it’s quick to scorch.
- An easy, no-mess way to crush the graham crackers is to put them into a resealable plastic bag, push out as much air as possible, then seal it. Next, use a rolling pin or something heavy like a pot or large bowl to press the crackers into crumbs.

Yes! Use 2 oz of fluff for the filling, and spoon dollops of fluff around the edge of the skillet in place of the marshmallows on top.
