Creamy and delicious lasagna noodles stuffed with a creamy chicken mixture then topped with Alfredo sauce and cheese. Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups make for a quick and delicious dinner that the entire family will love! Plus, they are freezer friendly.

Looking for a new dinner recipe that will be a hit with everyone at the table? Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups are what you need to make! Lasagna noodles stuffed with a creamy chicken mixture, rolled up and topped with alfredo sauce and cheese. Is your mouth watering yet?
Why this recipe works!
- Only requires a few simple ingredients that are easy to find!
- It’s freezer friendly so double the recipe and put one pan in the freezer for later.
- Family friendly and perfect dish to bring to loved ones. This is also the perfect meal to send to someone who just had a baby, is down on their luck or a new neighbor.

Ingredients Needed
- Lasagna noodles
- Alfredo Sauce – We used a jarred garlic alfredo sauce, but you can also make it homemade or use your favorite brand of Alfredo Sauce.
- Chicken – Make it easy by using your Crock Pot or Instant Pot. Leftover Rotisserie Chicken works great, too.
- Seasonings – Oregano and garlic salt give it more flavor.
- Shredded mozzarella cheese – Grab the block of cheese and grate it yourself for the ultimate meltability.
Steps to Prepare Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups
- Prep – Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8×8 inch pan with non-stick spray. Pour 1/2 c. Alfredo sauce on bottom of pan.
- Prepare Lasagna Noodles – Cook lasagna noodles until they are al dente. Don’t overcook them as you will be baking them also. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water so they don’t stick together.
- Mix Filling – While they are cooking mix together the 1 c. Alfredo, 1 c. mozzarella cheese, chicken, garlic salt and oregano.
- Fill Lasagna Noodles – Lay out the noodles and blot the water off of them with a paper towel. Spread 1/9 of chicken mixture on noodle. Roll up the lasagna noodle. Place the roll-ups, seam side down in the pan. Repeat with all of the noodles. Once they are all in the pan pour the rest of the Alfredo sauce over them. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake – Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Make Ahead Tips
Make them the night before and then place them in the refrigerator for the next day. I do recommend adding another about 15 minutes to the baking time because the roll ups will be cold since they were in the refrigerator.
Freezer Friendly
Double this recipe and put one pan in the freezer for later. It’s the perfect way to meal prep for those busy nights.
Assemble the dish in a freezer friendly and oven safe dish. Instead of baking it, cover dish and put it in the freezer for up to three months.
When ready to prepare the roll ups, remove from fridge and let thaw overnight.
Bake according to directions, but allow for an additional 5-10 minutes of bake time because the dish is cold to start with.
If you forget to thaw it you can bake from frozen. We recommend covering the dish with aluminum foil while baking. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake until bubbly and golden brown on top, about 20-30 minutes.

Make it a Meal!
- To go with this fabulous dinner I whipped up a side of Olive Garden Breadsticks to serve with it.
- If you love biscuits, these Cheddar Bay Biscuits would be great, too!
- A nice accompaniment to finish off this meal would be a simple tossed salad or roasted vegetables.

How did you cook the chicken?
Julie says
I cooked mine in the slow cooker and shredded it ahead of time.
Mindya says
I cut slits in mine, put garlic in each, wrapped the chicken in foil and put it in a Pyrex baking dish in the oven

Thanks for sharing Mindya!

Ok, I am new to the whole “freezing ahead of time” process, so have a horribly stupid question… what DOES the freezing process look like? Do you make them entirely and then freeze? Just freeze the mixture? HELP!! And thank you 🙂
Julie says
No problem! You make the entire dish, complete all the way through step 5. But instead of baking for 30 minutes, seal the dish tightly and place it in the freezer. Then when you are ready to cook it, remove from freezer and thaw slightly. Then bake at 350 for 45 mins to an hour. It will take longer baking from frozen.
Kelly Kuoppala says
Can I use the same mix to make it into actual lasagna or do you suggest something else?
Julie says
I think that would work, Kelly! Just layer the noodles and the Alfredo mixture into a lasagna.
Erika says
If I wanted to make this recipe in a 13 x 9 lasagna pan would I need to double the recipe?
