Creamy and delicious lasagna noodles stuffed with a creamy chicken mixture then topped with Alfredo sauce and cheese. Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups make for a quick and delicious dinner that the entire family will love! Plus, they are freezer friendly.
Looking for a new dinner recipe that will be a hit with everyone at the table? Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups are what you need to make! Lasagna noodles stuffed with a creamy chicken mixture, rolled up and topped with alfredo sauce and cheese. Is your mouth watering yet?
Why this recipe works!
- Only requires a few simple ingredients that are easy to find!
- It’s freezer friendly so double the recipe and put one pan in the freezer for later.
- Family friendly and perfect dish to bring to loved ones. This is also the perfect meal to send to someone who just had a baby, is down on their luck or a new neighbor.
Ingredients Needed
- Lasagna noodles
- Alfredo Sauce – We used a jarred garlic alfredo sauce, but you can also make it homemade or use your favorite brand of Alfredo Sauce.
- Chicken – Make it easy by using your Crock Pot or Instant Pot. Leftover Rotisserie Chicken works great, too.
- Seasonings – Oregano and garlic salt give it more flavor.
- Shredded mozzarella cheese – Grab the block of cheese and grate it yourself for the ultimate meltability.
Steps to Prepare Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups
- Prep – Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8×8 inch pan with non-stick spray. Pour 1/2 c. Alfredo sauce on bottom of pan.
- Prepare Lasagna Noodles – Cook lasagna noodles until they are al dente. Don’t overcook them as you will be baking them also. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water so they don’t stick together.
- Mix Filling – While they are cooking mix together the 1 c. Alfredo, 1 c. mozzarella cheese, chicken, garlic salt and oregano.
- Fill Lasagna Noodles – Lay out the noodles and blot the water off of them with a paper towel. Spread 1/9 of chicken mixture on noodle. Roll up the lasagna noodle. Place the roll-ups, seam side down in the pan. Repeat with all of the noodles. Once they are all in the pan pour the rest of the Alfredo sauce over them. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake – Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Make Ahead Tips
Make them the night before and then place them in the refrigerator for the next day. I do recommend adding another about 15 minutes to the baking time because the roll ups will be cold since they were in the refrigerator.
Freezer Friendly
Double this recipe and put one pan in the freezer for later. It’s the perfect way to meal prep for those busy nights.
Assemble the dish in a freezer friendly and oven safe dish. Instead of baking it, cover dish and put it in the freezer for up to three months.
When ready to prepare the roll ups, remove from fridge and let thaw overnight.
Bake according to directions, but allow for an additional 5-10 minutes of bake time because the dish is cold to start with.
If you forget to thaw it you can bake from frozen. We recommend covering the dish with aluminum foil while baking. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake until bubbly and golden brown on top, about 20-30 minutes.
Make it a Meal!
- To go with this fabulous dinner I whipped up a side of Olive Garden Breadsticks to serve with it.
- If you love biscuits, these Cheddar Bay Biscuits would be great, too!
- A nice accompaniment to finish off this meal would be a simple tossed salad or roasted vegetables.

I made these and they are bomb. I loved them so very much. So tasty and so filling. My family absolutely loved them. I did use a little more sauce than what it calls for but still so so good. Thank you for sharing this. Will be making this on a regular basis in my house.

Made it tonight out of shredded roast chicken I made yesterday and it was good. I will say 8×8 pan is not big enough for 9 I jammed 8 in but the last 2 I had to smash flat and jam in along the edge. 6 would work and have room around each. Best to just use a bigger pan. Also you are going to want a full 2+ cups of sauce. 1 cup in filling was good but that only leaves 7 oz to split between top and bottom and if you put the 1/2 cup on bottom that only leaves 3 oz for the top. also i would give it 45 min in the oven especially if you try to jam 8 in an 8×8 pan. any way was good and will make it again. I forgot to mention i mixed 1/2 and 1/2 alfredo and marinara to make a pink sauce for this and it was good. Next time crushed red pepper sprinkled in mine as I role them up! and Shawn sucks

People seriously need to learn to cook. This is a trash recipe, anytime a “jar” is an ingredient, it’s not going to be good. Use your brain and make your family a dish that will be good, if you are not a talented cook maybe take a class or ask your grandma. Cooking is a very easy thing to do, I’m self taught by trial and error in my younger years, and I guarantee that majority of what I make from scratch will beat 90% of the food that people post on P and in most restaurants. Be creative and STOP feeding your family BS from these AD hungry blogs.
Julie Evink says
I can’t even with your attitude Shawn. Can I make homemade Alfredo sauce? Absolutely. Do I shame someone that can’t? Absolutely not. That is unacceptable. This is an approachable recipe that people can make quickly for their family when they are short on time. If you desire to substitute the jarred sauce for homemade go for it. But shaming someone for making their family a meal, to gather around, and enjoy because it involves a jarred sauce? Get off your high horse and have some humility. Giving me a one star rating when you haven’t even tried the recipe? Ridiculous. Next time simply hit the X on the tab and move on. Your attitude is not welcome here. And for your information this AD HUNGRY BLOGGER provides free content to HELP people make their family meals. Start your own blog and figure out how much work goes on beyond the scenes before you ASSUME I’m ad hungry.
