Crescent Cinnamon Rolls Ingredients
With only a handful of ingredients it’s easy enough to have them all on hand so you can make these whenever you have a craving!
- Crescent Rolls – We used the perforated crescent rolls, but you can use crescent roll sheets just cut them into triangles.
- Butter – We used salted butter
- Sugar – White sugar is used, but brown sugar would add a great rich taste.
- Cinnamon – Want a little more spice then add a bit more cinnamon.
- Milk – Any type of milk should work.
- Powdered Sugar – Also known as confectioners sugar.
- Vanilla Extract – If you want the glaze to have a true white color use clear vanilla extract.

Tips for Crescent Rolls Cinnamon Rolls
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up.
- Don’t worry if some butter and cinnamon leak out while baking.

- Top with a cream cheese glaze, caramel or melted chocolate to mix it up.
Crescent Roll Cinnamon Rolls FAQs
They are very similar but have differences. Croissant dough is going to be more flaky. A crescent roll will have more of a texture of a homemade roll.
To freeze these, wrap each crescent roll individually in foil or cling wrap after baking and cooling. Then place in a freezer bag. Store in the freezer for 1-2 months. Reheat them in the oven for best results.
Storing Cinnamon Sugar Crescent Rolls
I’m guessing there won’t be any leftovers, but if there is place them in an airtight container and store at room temperature.
You can warm them up for a few seconds in the microwave if you’d like before eating.
These are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven!

I made these at work and we all loved them, thanks for sharing the recipe
Spunky says
I felt like the filling was twice the amount it needed to be. Even with room temp to cool butter, the inside melted all over the pan.
Lalyy says
I didn’t have the powdered sugar so I used cinnamon instead and added bananas in the middle and the my kiddo’s loved it with a chocolate banana milkshake. Thank you for this short time recipe !

I added a little cream cheese inside and it was also delicious! Love this recipe. Very simple and inexpensive to make! Fun to make with little ones.
Julie says
Sounds delicious! I’m so glad you enjoyed them, Jaime!
Kymberly says
Wow! I’m sitting down to eat these after making this recipe with my 3 year old son this morning. So delicious! After seeing some others comments about the glaze, I cut the milk in half. But, I truly don’t mind the runny glaze. It tastes amazing with these delicious crescents. A perfect pair!
And best of all, it’s so easy to make! Thank you for sharing!
Julie says
Awesome! I’m so glad you loved them!
RaeLyn says
Easy and delicious! Messy and runny is what makes cinnamon rolls yummy! Thanks!
Julie says
Agreed! So glad you enjoyed them!
Georgia says
This was the best. I saw where you highlighted softened butter and I keep it at room temperature regularly. I didn’t turn tip down so the filling oozed out which made me do the country thing and sopped it up with the roll. I added more powdered sugar when I saw it was too thin. But you definitely get thumbs up on this one.
Julie says
Perfect! I’m so glad you enjoyed them!
Kate says
I think maybe you should stress butter should be soft, but not melted. I mistakenly melted it causing the runny filling that others are describing. Also, definitely less milk for a thicker glaze. They were very yummy though!
Julie says
Glad you enjoyed them! Yes, the butter needs to be softened, not melted!
Wbridget37 says
Tasted good but way way too much filling for 8 crescent rolls. Oozed out all over the baking sheet. The glaze was too thin also. Only needed 1 Tbsp of milk.
Julie says
I’m sorry! I’m glad you still enjoyed them despite the oozing filling!
Judy says
I just made them. I read your review and agreed abut thin glaze so I did only use 1tbp milk and was still runny
Julie says
Sorry to hear that!
Melissa says
This was fast, I had all the ingredients, and it was so delicious!
Julie says
Perfect! I’m so glad you loved them!
Melisa says
Maybe I read it wrong, but 2 tablespoons of milk with a quarter cup of powdered sugar makes sugary milk when I do it. I had to add about three more 1/4 cup scoops just to thicken 1 tablespoon. Where did I go wrong? Delicious otherwise!!
Julie says
It’s meant to be more of a glaze so it should be a bit runny!
Danielle says
This is a new family favorite at our house! We will be making these again for sure!
Julie says
Perfect! So glad you enjoyed them!
