With only 5 minutes of prep and 4 ingredients there’s nothing easier to make than a classic Strawberry Banana Smoothie for a refreshing snack. Simply throw your banana, strawberries, ice and milk in the blender and give it a whirl.

Once you try this easy strawberry banana smoothie I’m pretty sure it’s going to be your new favorite afternoon snack! I might be biased because it’s definitely one of mine – I love blending one up for breakfast or as a snack when I start feeling a little tired in the afternoon. And in the summer, I love to make strawberry banana popsicles as a refreshing treat. Strawberry and banana is just the best combo!
This strawberry and banana smoothie is so fresh, fruity, and healthy. It takes just minutes to make and you only need four ingredients!
Ingredients
- Frozen strawberries
- Banana
- Milk
- Ice
Just place everything in a blender and process them until you have a creamy smoothie!
It’s not too thin or too thick – it’s just right. I think you will love this easy smoothie!
Smoothie FAQs!
I think it is! There’s no added sugar and one smoothie has 178 calories. Plus, it’s made with fruit!
Yes! If you prefer to use soy, oat, coconut, or almond milk that should work fine. It will alter the taste a little depending on what you use.
I like to use regular milk and whole, 2% or even skim milk will work well, too.
I like to use frozen ones because they help thicken the smoothie and make it really cold. You can substitute fresh strawberries but it won’t be as thick and you might want to add a little more ice.
You can omit it but your smoothie won’t be as thick and creamy. I recommend substituting some yogurt in its place if you do and reduce the amount of milk so the smoothie isn’t too thin.
This recipe is so easy I don’t make mine ahead, but you can try it. You can blend everything together and then store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Give it a good shake before drinking it.
Blended smoothies won’t keep well for too long in the refrigerator so I don’t recommend making them more than 12 hours in advance. They really taste best when they’re made!
You can switch out the strawberries for other types of berries that you like. Frozen blueberries, raspberries or a mix of berries would be delicious, too.
If yours is too thick just add a little more milk to thin it to your liking. If it’s too thin you can add more frozen strawberries to thicken it up!
