Ingredients for Burger Sauce
- Mayonnaise – Use full fat as the base of this sweet, tangy sauce.
- Ketchup – Adds a tang as well as a sweetness to this sauce that balance out the strong flavors of the burger.
- Yellow mustard – Prepared yellow mustard gives a mild bite. If you like the distinct flavor of dijon mustard, you can substitute that in.
- Seasoning – Dried minced onion and garlic powder add depth of flavor. If you do not have dried minced onion, use 1/4 teaspoon onion powder.
- White vinegar – Enhances flavor while balancing the sweetness and adding some acidity.
Can I Use Vegan Mayo For Burger Sauce?
I have never personally used vegan mayonnaise for this burger sauce, but if you are cooking up some veggie burgers, I don’t see why vegan mayonnaise wouldn’t work. Let me know how it works out!

Load the table with sides like classic Macaroni Salad, flavorful and delicious Bean Salad and Potato Salad. Since you’ll be firing up the grill for those burgers, add some spuds to make Twice Baked Potatoes, too. It’s quite interesting that you used vinegar for this burger sauce recipe as it would surely add a bit of zing to its taste. I’ve been getting fond of testing out all sorts of burgers recently and I’m planning to get some cheeseburger meal takeouts soon. Maybe I should also try to make my own sauces at home to add my own flare to the burgers I’m eating.
