Helpful Tools
How to Make Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then spray an 8×8 inch pan with non-stick spray. Pour ½ cup Alfredo sauce on bottom of the baking dish.
- Cook the lasagna noodles until they are al dente. Be careful not to overcook them as you will be baking them also and they’ll finish cooking then. Drain and rinse the noodles with cold water so that they don’t stick together.
- While they are cooking mix together the one cup of Alfredo sauce, one cup mozzarella cheese, shredded chicken, garlic salt and oregano.
- Lay out the cooked noodles and blot the water off of them with a paper towel. Spread some of chicken mixture on noodle and then carefully roll it up.
- Place the roll-ups, seam side down in the pan and repeat with all of the noodles. Once they are all in the pan pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the top and add the remaining cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
Can I make chicken alfredo roll ups ahead of time?
Yes! Make them the night before and then place them in the refrigerator for the next day. I do recommend adding another about 15 minutes to the baking time because the roll ups will be cold since they were in the refrigerator.
You can even double this recipe and put one pan in the freezer for later. It’s the perfect way to meal prep for those busy nights.
Assemble the dish in a freezer friendly and oven safe dish. Instead of baking it, cover dish and freeze for up to three months.
When ready to prepare the roll ups, remove from fridge and let thaw overnight.
Bake according to directions, but allow for an additional 5-10 minutes of bake time because the dish is cold to start with. If you forget to thaw it you can bake from frozen. We recommend covering the dish with aluminum foil while baking. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake until bubbly and golden brown on top, about 20-30 minutes.
How to Store Leftover Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups
Transfer leftovers to an airtight container and allow to cool completely. You can also wrap the baking dish tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Store in the fridge for 2-3 days. I recommend freezing unbaked roll ups instead of baked.
What can I add to chicken alfredo roll ups?
Make this dish extra extra creamy by adding a layer of ricotta cheese inside each of the roll ups. You can also make your dish more cheesy by adding some parmesan cheese or extra mozzarella. Add more warmth to the dish with black pepper, or a bit of kick with a dash of red pepper.
Another option is to switch up the Alfredo sauce for our Garlic Parmesan Sauce. Same idea, but just a new twist.
What to Serve with Chicken Alfredo Roll Ups
Serve these chicken alfredo lasagna rolls with tons of tasty sides. Olive garden breadsticks and air fryer garlic bread are two of my favorites to serve with this dish.
If you love biscuits, these cheddar bay biscuits would be great, too!
But it also goes wonderfully with veggies like green beans with bacon and glazed carrots. For an extra cozy side, you can serve it with some oven roasted vegetables too.
Pro Tips for the Best chicken Alfredo Roll Ups
- It is really important to follow package directions on the noodles and cook them to al dente so that they don’t end up mushy after baking.
- Feel free to double or triple this recipe to make enough for the whole family. You can bake it in a larger dish!
- Make sure that the shredded chicken you are using is seasoned a bit. It will add extra flavor into this dish.

Hi there. I have a silly question. Is there anything that I could use as a substitute for the chicken? I’m a vegetarian but no one else in my family is so I kinda wanted to make a few without the chicken. Thank you for your help!
