Soft, Chewy Sugar Cookie Bars topped with Green Coconut “Grass” and Candy Easter Eggs! These Easter Egg Hung Sugar Cookie Bars are such a fun treat to make at Easter.
It’s always fun to treat new treats and dessert for the holidays that are festive and cute. That’s why these classic chewy sugar cookie bars turned into a themed Easter treat are so fun to eat and make.

Not only are these Easter Sugar Cookie bars delicious and easy to make these have so much flavor. That’s thanks to the almond extract in these soft bars.
You don’t need much, only a 1/2 teaspoon but the flavor is amazing!
Ingredients Needed
- White Granulated Sugar
- Butter – Will need to be softened to mix into the dough.
- Cream Cheese – Gives these sugar cookie bars their rich taste.
- Egg – Leave out to bring to room temperature to easily mix it into the batter.
- Extracts – You will need both almond and vanilla extract to give these bars their flavor. If you don’t like almond extract you can change it to all vanilla extract.
- Baking powder
- Baking soda
- All-purpose Flour
- Powdered sugar
- Milk
- Food coloring – You will need green food coloring for the frosting and grass. We like to use gel food coloring because it gives you the best, vibrant color.
- Coconut – We used a sweetened shredded coconut to make the grass.
- Candy Eggs – These are shown with Reese’s Candy eggs, but use any candy egg you like. Cadbury Mini Eggs would be delicious too!

Make Sugar Cookie Bars – Press dough into greased 10 1/2 in x 15 1/2 in. jelly roll pan.
