I love creamed corn! And love how simplified you’ve made this – crockpot recipes are the best! Also, just got that plate at Target and love it! Pinned :)

      You have great taste :)

If I double this receipe for thanksgiving should I double the cooking time too!!

      • Julie Evink

Use a big enough slow cooker that the heat is able to distribute evenly, but I think it should only take the 4 hours on there. At the most it will take 5 hours.

Another fabulous crock pot recipe! I’ve been craving creamed corn lately….or maybe Baby has….I will HAVE to try this!

    • Julie Evink

Always the baby when you need excuse right? :)

    Hi Julie
Does it have to be frozen corn? I want to make it for Mother’s Day, I’m not worried about doing it “quick” and was thinking of fresh corn from the cob.
    What do you think?
    Thank you for your time.
    Sincerely,
    Peggy Rizzo

    • Julie Evink

I can’t guarantee using the fresh corn because I haven’t used it, but if you do try it just watch the cooking time!

  • Peggy

    Hi again,
Please send me an email for your response, obviously I am somewhat new to this.
    Thank you for your time.

I’m trying this corn recipe and I hope I did it right cause it looks awfly dry? And I followed your exact recipe or maybe this is what it looks like till it cooks let’s hope so this is my husbands birthday dinner I’m trying this out on!!!

    • Julie Evink

Hey Michael! Did it turn out for you?

Can I use just milk instead of CREAM CHEESE?

    • Julie Evink

The cream cheese is going to make it a thicker more robust creamed corn. You can try milk but watch so it doesn’t get runny. I’ve never tried this substitute.

How many people does this serve? We’re having a Thanksgiving potluck at work and I’m wondering if I double your recipe if it’ll be enough for about 50 people. Also, if I double it do you think it’ll still be ready in 3-4 hours?

    • Julie Evink

I would say 10-12 people and I would increase the cooking time a little and use a large crock pot and you might have to triple the recipe.

  • Andrea

could I use canned corn instead of frozen?

    • Julie Evink

Yes you can sub canned corn I just prefer frozen. Watch the cooking time though it might take a little less time.
