I still don’t understand the sugar measurements. According to Dominos Sugar, 2 pounds of confectioners sugar equals 7.5 cups. That seems like a lot of sugar.
Julie Evink says
This is correct. I measured myself and I got 8 c. in 2 lbs. This makes a lot of frosting. Feel free to cut it in half if you desire.

TINA says
One batch EASILY iced 80 x 3″ sugar cookies with about 1tbsp of icing each. I omitted the almond extract due to the risk of allergens (cookies are being donated to a town dinner), but wow… tasty, creamy, and very good. Bravo!
Julie Evink says
So glad you enjoyed it!
Sandi says
Since there is milk and butter in the frosting, how long do these cookies stay good in an airtight container without going bad? No refrigeration needed?
Julie Evink says
I don’t refrigerate mine. I would say they stay good for about 3 days. This frosting freezes great so you can always freeze your cookies if the cookie freezes well too!
